Really Great Pub
We went today for my mother's 93rd birthday
Great food and they made a delicious cake for my mother complete with candle and didn't charge us.
My husband had the Queen burger and said that it was the best burger he had tasted.
My daughter and I had Crispy Thai Beef. Yummy Yummy
Very good service and would thoroughly recommend

Great pub but even better that it also becomes the village shop and a Cafe during the day.

Really friendly local pub slash restaurant slash coffee shop slash village shop. We were walking in the area and stopped by. The staff were super friendly. The dog was very welcome. We enjoyed a good coffee and a very nice sausage roll with chutney. There were tempting larger dishes on the menu but we only needed a light lunch. The village shop was really a selection of treats from local cheese to posh nibbles.

Nice looking pub inside and out. We booked (telephoned at 6:15pm) table for 4 @ 7:30pm on a Saturday. What a shame we weren’t informed beforehand that HALF the mains were not available - no steak, pies, burgers. They had not had a delivery of beef apparently. Only one of these options was replaced with an alternative making the short menu even more limited. Whilst we pondered what then to have to eat we ordered our drinks, Guinness please - oh sorry no Guinness today either. Food was good quality and tasty, HOWEVER for the Pork belly (£18) which was nice, the gravy/jus was practically nonexistent (had to ask for more), no apple sauce served with it (had to request it), 3 roast pots, 1 stick of sweet potato, cabbage was cold, 1 stick parsnip was still hard and undercooked. My son ordered the haddock and chips, just 7 of them! Desserts are also small and @ £8 each.
This place can’t decide if it’s a pub or a restaurant. I’d say it’s a pub with a small limited menu (regardless of the issue with the beef) and pub prices for some dishes but overpriced for others. Oh and they allow dogs in the restaurant not just the bar/pub area - urgh.

A truly lovely meal, in a lovely setting, with lovely staff. We went for Sunday roast, it came out piping hot with delicious veggies and was just heaven! We also had a look round the shop and picked up some lovely produce. Can't wait to go back!

Our first time having food from The Queen, and it was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had - can't wait till we can sit in and have a proper meal here.

I had a superb lunch here. The service was very friendly and attentive. The venue is perfect for an outdoor meal, and is clearly very popular, with the staff knowing regulars by name (always a good sign) I had Pork Belly and the gravy was clearly properly made, and not 'granule rubbish.' Well worth a visit as the food was well above 'Pub Grub' standard, and the prices were not extreme. The staff all seemed keen to get feedback, with a nice open question, "how was your meal?", rather than the usual closed, "did you enjoy your meal?" Well done Brandeston Queen. I'll be back.
