Cactus

So we went for our anniversary..... After getting stuck in a corner, we got our Waters in greasy, chipped glasses sans straws. The meal itself was so so. Considering all the rave reviews I had gotten I expected more.I got a soft drink which I finished midway through the meal. I set my glass on the edge of the table to show that I needed a refill. Four different girls walking back and forth attending the tables around us never even blinked at me as I tried to make eye contact. So water it was as I finished my meal. Meanwhile as my wife ate her meal she noticed a black spot in her beans. It was a live fly trying to swim out of its prison. There went our appetites. So for another ten minutes I kept my cool as we were ignored. Once they finally came over they were very apologetic. Problem is they took her plate and offered to comp just her meal all while making excuses about how the fly could have gotten in there. I wanted the entire meal comped but let the wife do the talking because I was ready to explode. I would have just walked out if it hadn't been for my wife. I didn't want to ruin the rest of her evening on our anniversary. Suffice to say I will not return. Nor will I be shy about my lack of enthusiasm for this place.
