This place is the ultimate man cave for DIY. If you need it, forget the chain stores: This has everything from power tools, mowers to chainsaws and hand tools, screws and random tools you never knew you needed. Need electrical cable of any size, it's here. And their advise is second to none. Lots of staff happy to help. Not many old school stores left. This is definitely one to make the most of.
Mower broke, so made a late dash to Masseys. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Arrived Saturday at 4.30 pm so only 30 mins to closing but did not hesitate to help and advise. The gents went above and beyond to assist with purchase and loading, way past closing time. Thank you. Proper customer service π
What a place, totally lovely staff, has everything from professional router bits, angle grinders to ironing boards, and serves the best coffee in Swadlincote. ( in my opinion) only one problem, I never want to leave !

Went for paint and found what I wanted. Had a good look around for anything else I might need in the future as they stock things you might not know existed.
Went in with some trouble looking for a universal strimmer spool. The man who helped me was amazing and so helpful. Going the extra mile and made sure the spool he ordered me was the correct fit.

You can get your normal diy stuff. You're also find that hard to find item you thought you would not find. Parking is not too bad

What a great store. It's like a modern day version of the old DIY store. They sell everything you need with a massive selection and everything you didn't know you needed π.
The cafe is wonderful too. Lovely and clean great food and excellent staff. We definitely recommend a visit.

What an excellent shop, selling all kinds of building, gardening and DIY equipment and at very reasonable prices too. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, something sadly lacking in many places these days.
I'll definitely be back to my new favourite shop
Masseys is a great shop, but my husband bought some work boots from there he is a lorry driver, so not like a construction worker and working on a building site every day. He has had no end of trouble with them leaking, not glued very well, and the mid sole not good because you can feel every stone in then. Since September 2022 he is on his 4th pair now and I took them back last week and the young lad that served me wasn't the politest of person and I had to tell him 3 times why I had to bring them back and he wasn't going to let me change them even though they were changed just over 2 months ago. I know it's not Masseys fault it's the suppliers fault for poor quality control. The lad said he was going to pass it onto the suppliers when the rep visits. I never normally have any problems with any of the staff they are normally very polite and chatty but not this person. I will still use Masseys
Good selection of household items. Fair prices. Happy, friendly staff. My family always enjoy coming here for a browse, a bit of lunch and shopping.
