Review Lee Meadow Farm Shop - Woolacombe

Liked: The Farm shop/ fresh hot food availability. Lots of showers and toilets and washing up facilities. Beautiful and convenient location for beaches/ surfing. Disliked: Not something that can be really helped by staff but the families in our neighbouring pitches walked through our pitch every time they wanted to use the facilities, even stepping/jumping over our stuff, maybe some signs or suggestions when booking.

Liked: Wow what an absolutely wonderful campsite. The pitch we had was fantastic, the on site farm shop was excellent. Toilets and showers nice and clean. everything you need and if not a Tesco is just down the road. Plenty of pubs around and a 5 min drive down to the beach… defo be back

Liked: Family atmosphere, lovely shop with veg and meat and toys, icecream and pizza. Friendly staff relaxed atmosphere. Warm water most of the time. It was our first time camping and was great. Disliked: When it was very busy there was a lack of hot water.

Liked: The location was spot on for a supermarket, beach and activities all close. The shop on site was helpful and full of lovely items. We had a fab view of the sea and the kids loved getting to know other campers, you felt like staying at the tent was an option because it was a pleasant spot. Disliked: We were in the second field behind the shop, although the view of the sea and sunset was stunning we were very exposed to the elements and it was quite clear our facilities were far less to those in the first field. My son had a shower and it just switched off, luckily i was with him and able to help him run round to the better facilities. It did feel slightly unfair so for the rest of the trip we just walked around and used the better facilities. The showers on the whole were never that warm.

Liked: Great facilities, toilets and showers were clean. Very nice little farm shop which was ideal for us. The site was clean and tidy and great to be able to hire bikes, and boards on site. Disliked: The only thing that let us down was the weather

Liked: Firstly, all of the staff were genuinely happy to help and most importantly enjoyed working at the farm. Within minutes of arriving we were shown to our pitch which was huge, we only filled half of it. Great value for money Lots of electric hook ups available and water supply near our pitch, not to mention the great facilities on site. Toilets and showers were clean every time we used them and anti-bac spray in every cubicle. The overall site has a great friendly, family feel to it. Our kids made friends and didn't want to leave, we even stayed for coffee after packing up so they could stay goodbye and have one last ride around on the hire bikes. The farm shop on site is great, lots of fresh produce plus stone baked pizzas! Many other options too and food I wouldn't expect to find on a camp site. Couldn't fault it. The location itself is great, 2 miles from the large, sandy beaches and signs big enough that you can't miss your turning. We are already looking to book again. The kids were requesting a return to the site on the second day! Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: This is a really lovely campsite with nice facilities and a great on site farm shop. The toilets and free showers were generally really clean. The farm shop is well stocked and sell lovely breakfasts and pizza's in the evening. As a whole it had a nice, quiet, friendly, family feel to it. We also had another couple joining us the day after we arrived and allowed us to reserve the pitch next to us for them to ensure we were together. From one of the fields you can see the sea and watch the sunset which we wandered over for on our last night when the weather had improved. Pretty central for some lovely coastal towns. Disliked: There is nowhere to plug in to charge battery packs etc. We didn't pay for an electric pitch but usually there is somewhere for people who don't have hook up to charge things. Some of the pitches are on quite an incline. We were lucky to arrive on a fairly quiet day and be able to choose. Some more info (maybe in a leaflet to save staff time) on arrival would have been good regarding pre-ordering pizzas and local amenities. Due to the hills and location you do need a car to go anywhere.

Liked: Lovely farm shop selling fresh bread, scones (amazing), meat and everything you need. Pizzas in the evening were great. Facilities were good. Toilets were clean and well stocked with toilet paper. Never had to wait for a shower to be free. Very child friendly. The site was very quiet after 10pm. Location suited us very well. Disliked: Pitch size wasn’t clear so we found ourselves very tight to neighbours when they set up. Wetsuit cleaning bath of water looked great but it wasn’t fresh and smelt pretty bad.
