Had a very pleasant night's sleep here after a long day's surfing. Robert was gutted I couldn't have the cooked breakfast, as I had thoroughly enjoyed the chilli con carne, but i had to leave again before dawn for the waves. Nice old school landlord who made me feel at home. Room had everything I needed plus a decent hot shower, and decent coverage for the WiFi. I'd stay here again. Thank you 😊

A superb find! Dog friendly (very very dog friendly!!), with great food and portions at realistic prices. Friendly and quick service and background music that's amazing 😂. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Had a great short break with our family in Woolacombe. Family room basic but a good size, clean,comfy beds & hot shower.
Staff really helpful & catered well for my husband who has to have a Gluten free diet.
Evening meal delicious & breakfast was good.
Brilliant location for Woolacombe & has on site parking.
Would recommend for short break if you are on a budget.

Came for a meal with my family.
It looks a bit rough and old but do not let that put you off. The food is delicious, large portions and very clearly cooked fresh and not put in a microwave.

The outside of the Fortescue Arms is a bit tired, but don't let this put you off, inside was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was a full english and very tasty. Cereals were also offered, although we didn't have them.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome and might even get a sneeky sausage from the proprietor!!
All in all, we had a great overnight stay.

We visited in a larger than normal family group for food...they made a table available for us all to sit around and the service was excellent and the food was amazing...all of the dishes were of good size and tasted amazing...thank you so much...definitely recommend
