We only went for a meal. The food was lovely and the portions were great. The kids menu had good selection and my 4 year old enjoyed the chicken. The staff were very friendly and great with our son. The atmosphere was lovely and peaceful. The fireplace was lit and added to it, the smell of the fireplace was lovely. The location of the place was beautiful, great veiws all around it. Beautiful place and would definitely go back.

Booked as a stop over on our way up to Scotland. We aimed to reach here for 6 pm but due to traffic and weather conditions we arrived at 10pm. We knew that the restaurant closed at 8:30 pm, so we called them from the car. They were very helpful and sorted out sandwiches for when we arrived. The family room was large and very well decorated. It was nice that the toilet and shower were in separate sections. The beds were very comfy. The choice for breakfast in the morning was great (you ordered the night before). I had the full works very tasty. Definitely will stay there again.

Fantastic place. Great staff, lovely rooms, amazing breakfast, good value. Parking was good, very accessible place for surrounding area. **Don't be put off by outside appearance** the hotel has a very "quirky" neighbour, who is a little untidy, but the hotel is lovely.

Everything was very good . The room was clean and tidy, the staff was extremely kind, the atmosphere was almost familiar, the food was very tasty. Our only complaint was the amount of the dinner, which could be said to be extremely modest, the taste was very good, but all three of us were dissatisfied with the amount, we were very surprised at how little the content of the plate was. By the way, this did not form part of the price of the accommodation, we paid for it separately and we were not satisfied with the value for money. However, this small error does not affect the evaluation of the otherwise great accommodation, it only applies to the restaurant.

6 of us went for lunch at the Bluebell Inn. We sat in the conservatory which was warm, sunny & comfortable. The food choice on the menu was varied & interesting. As it was a Sunday, they had the traditional Sunday roast which was excellent according to my friends, generous portions. I & one other had the Buddha Bowl: couscous, humous, salad, tomatoes, peppers, pickled cucumber (yummy) olives & haddock goujons on top - wonderful taste mix. Lemon, meringue & ice cream sundae for a pudding which was scrummy. Their coffee was excellent too. Staff friendly & helpful. We were there for 3hrs & no feeling that we had to be out of there within a certain time. I would definitely recommend & will definitely go back!

Went for Sunday roast, we didnt leave hungry! Very generous portions and very good prices. We arrived late in the evening so some of the meats were a little dry from sitting under the lamps all day, but still tasty. Roast potatoes were excellent, and yorkshire puddings massive. Friendly staff who had good knowledge of the menu.

Received a very warm welcome on arrival The Blue Bell is situated in a beautiful tranquil area Stunning scenery and a wealth of open spaces to explore Our room was spacious clean and well equipped Having a fridge was a welcome bonus Sitting looking out at one of the two windows in our room was picturesque and chilling We had evening meal there the first night The menu was varied local sourced ingredients and very delicious The price was exceptionally good value for the three course meal.We rarely eat in the hotel restaurant twice were we stay The Blue Bell Inn was exception to this We were not disappointed on our second night. Breakfast was again good quality. There is a choice of fruit and cereal and several cooked options avaiable. The staff were pleasant friendly and professional.Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend a trip here if to have an overnight stay or to eat .Both evenings we were there the place was full of guests dining so it is advisable to book first . To top it off I left my boots in the room and contacted the staff who posted them to my home address.Thankyou for going out of your way during and after our stay You have left a positive impression on us. Please also advise on the cost you incurred so that I can reimburse you Thankyou we will be back x

My parents were visiting from Australia so we stayed in the cottage at the end of the pub which was great. Two good sized bedrooms. It would be a great place to spend a few days hiking in the area as it was self contained. We ate at the pub for dinner and the portions were huge! My fish was just cooked (30 seconds more in the fryer would have been good) but it was very tasty. Breakfast the next day was very good too with the full English. A lively pub with plenty of very friendly locals to have a chat to. Highly recommend!
