Proper country pub. Great home made food. Had the carvery. Beef was tender and the vegetables were cooked properly. Puddings were amazing. Family of four, 2 courses and drinks were less than 70 quid. Will be going back.
Went for first time to meet a friend for lunch. Lovely spot and building. Friendly staff on that day, good choice of meals, drinks and desserts. Reasonably priced too. Will return. Cheesecake and raspberry icecream was lovely!
Very friendly, all staff were superb. Relaxed atmosphere, great selection of ales and beers. Food was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend πŸ‘Œ
Stopped in for a drink and a meal. Guinness was top notch and our meals cooked beautifully. Between us we had whitebait, baked camembert, lasagne and rib eye steak. All were fantastic. For dessert we had a blood orange and raspberry cheese cake and a sticky toffee pudding. Both delicious. The barmai
Beautiful pub and the people that run it are very friendly and helpful providing everything that you need for staying over the night just beside the river side! I really appreciate they're very welcoming and nice! The place was clean and very good service!
Rang up at 7.30pm for food said they finished serving food at 8pm but said they would serve us. Arrived at 7.50pm and they had served us our meal and we had finished by 8.30pm. Absolutely perfect. Food was 10/10. Would definitely recommend. Thank you very much
Popped in on the off-chance that there was a table for 2 available. Had a drink, table became available. The carvery was really nice, beef and lamb was so tasty πŸ˜‹ definitely be back
Best carvery we have had in a very long time. Great selection. Very tasty and hot. Will definitely return. Puds were also delicious. Great service too
Tuesdays are superb value. The curry and a pint is perfect. Can't help going back. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Well worth a visit.
Good friendly service, good food, would recommend the steak and ale pie or traditional fish and chips, will be going again. πŸ‘

Thanks for saving our Sunday guys with hands down the best takeaway roast in the area & beyond! Beautifully cooked, generously portioned & all extremely tasty…it came in spill proof, built for purpose containers too as many don’t so you end up losing half your lunch on the way home! Thank you so muc
Excellent Christmas menu at a very reasonable price. Sunday carvery was also amazing good value. Great range of options to choose from plus added bonus of fabulous puddings. Lovely friendly service Certainly recommend this little gem as a good local pub.
Fantastic quality, great value food. It honestly is worth a visit if you're in the area. Staff are always so friendly too. If you're around at the weekend, try the carvery......you'll thank me later!!! Rustic setting with some lovely surrounding countryside. Can't recommend the food here enough!!!
Carvery and vegetarian food was all of a very good standard. Sunday afternoon was busy but service wad good. Sadly the experience was spoilt by the rat just outside the dinning room window, the rubbish in the yard really needs clearing.
My colleagues and I visited today for our first works social gathering since before the pandemic. There were over 25 of us, which from past experience at other venues appears to be challenging for some pubs to cater good quality food for. I have to say, the staff at The Bridge at Stanford nailed it!
Very busy little pub, with lovely staff and amazing food, the meat for the carvery was excellent, I'm only sorry my appetite was not up to the challenge. We will be back for another Sunday lunch soon.
