Kai Sushi Bar & Grill

Never a disappointing meal when you come here. This is my first time getting the shrimp fried rice. I’ve gotten many other things before especially the sushi. Always fresh and reasonably priced. The rice had a fantastic flavor, not greasy whatsoever, and delicious cooked shrimp. Whenever I Want good sushi, this is the place I come too.

We have had dinner at Kai several times. Tonight went to dinner expecting the same dinner,service, experience, etc. to be what we had experienced in the past. The service was horrible (our “waitress” was also the barmaid (so not available). The menu has changed (no substitutions allowed). We asked for spinach in place of asparagus (which we have always had). Steak dinner which in the past was served with a side now stands alone. We will maybe stop in for a drink now and than but will never eat dinner there again. So many dining choices in the city where you can have dinner they way you want it at a much more affordable cost with awesome service. We will be making better choices in the future. 😊

This was some of the best sushi we've ever had! We arrived at 6 on a Monday, not realizing how small the restaurant was and not having a res. The server/manager? asked if we would be able to eat quickly as there was a table available but it had a reservation scheduled for 7p. We said yes and they sat us. We didn't try any drinks (though a few looked really good). I had the house salad, the ginger dressing was creamy and fresh. The sushi we ordered: sake sashimi, summer roll, rainbow roll, tuna dijonnaise (amazing!!), and the lobster maki. Service was fast, but I didn't feel rushed despite the limited time we had. I think it was really awesome they accommodated us. And even if the food hasn't been delicious I still would have given them five stars.
