Padavano's Place

One of the best Italian restaurants I've been too. There was live music and even audience participation, if you wanted. The food was fantastic, the owners were present and extremely friendly and did everything to ensure your food was perfect and you had a good time. They also had Keno, which was extremely fun as well. Definitely will be frequenting here often!

Been there a few times and everything was very good, place was busy. This time we stood the door for 5 minutes waiting to be seated in basically an empty restaurant and w as finally told to sit wherever we want. Table was dirty, mix up on our order. Food was not nearly as good as previously. Not sure what was going maybe just an off night but the rest of Shrewsbury street was hopping.

I attended an event, and you'd think they would have prepared. Only being allowed to get 1 drink at a time on my card and getting yelled at by the bartender for it. Ran out of pizza dough at 7. The event ran until 10:30. Being packed into the back corner really shed some light on things. Like dead bugs stuck to the walls and paintings. The constant fighting between staff, the chef yelling at them that there's only 2 people back there and to slow down orders. Watching some staff and owners playing with their phones. Finally getting some food I was able to also order a beer and then getting charged for 2 and then getting an awful attitude from the bartender about it. I thought at times John Taffer from bar rescue was going to come in screaming shut it down! When a place is packed you'd think the staff wouldn't be angry about it, absolute miserable people. Just a terrible experience all around, if I didn't have to be there for the event I would have left immediately. Never again.

Padavano''s Place at 358 Shrewsbury St. Went last night with the family & had a very good time. They had a charming band there that was entertaining, played both familiar tunes & original compositions. We had shrimp scampi, ravioli & an eggplant dish which we all enjoyed. The desserts were also good but believe they were from BJ''s or Sam's club which are good but have at home. Lucia our waitress (only there 3 days) was pleasant & very nice. Next time we go to Worcester, we'll definitely go there. Cheers!

Small restaurant. On the expansive sidefor what you get. Can pay $12 for a glass of wine. Ate there once and not pleased. Calamari app came without sauce and mostly peppers. Complained and they took it back and sent out a dish of only peppers. My dinner had hair it. Was in my mouth and gross. I didn't eat a meal there. This was mother's day. I had to leave becsuse I couldn't watch my kids pay for this horrible meal. The place is small with no dining atmosphere. Will never eat a meal there again.

Knew it wasn't going to go well when I put my fork in the calamari appetizer and it shattered like a hard pretzel. Overcooked and cold. Chicken fradiavelo was too hot (spicy) to eat. The sauce tasted like tomato sauce with a ton of Red Hot hot sauce in it. Waitress was inexperienced. After a wait showed up at the table with no menus or setups. We have always liked Rosalina's Kitchen (same owners as Padavano's) and were at the very least, greatly disappointed with the food and service.....will not return!

Nice place! Went with family as a party of four. The place was packed, and had live music going. I liked the ambiance, and "small place feel"- but it wasn't conducive to live music... Not when you're trying to have a conversation, and can't hear a single word across a small table! We had the "Italian Nachos" for an appetizer, which appeared at first to just be bowtie pasta covered in cheese- but an unexpected twist- the pasta was... deep fried? They were crunchy! Really surprising, and VERY good! I ordered Rosalina's Ravioli- 5 massive cheese filled ravioli in sauce. Very tasty- loved the sauce. The waiter asked if I wanted meatball(s?) with it. I said "sure". That was my only mistake. (The meatball was mediocre- and when I got the check I was appalled to find they charged me $5 for it!) Others in the group had veal parmagiana, Lemon chicken with spinach. All the food was good- and the portions on the veal was fabulous. I will probably go back to try some of the other dishes- albeit on a less crowded, and non-musical, night. But I will DEFINITELY be stopping in for those Italian Nachos again!
