I’m yet to find a better Chinese takeaway…
This has been my go-to Chinese takeaway for over 7 years now, my usual dish is salt and pepper chicken (either with noodles, egg fried rice or chips)
The salt and pepper chicken here is, in my opinion, the nicest salt and pepper chicken possible, it literally couldn’t be any better for me.
I have tried hundreds of Chinese takeaways all over the UK and I haven’t had salt and pepper chicken that even comes close to Great Wall’s.
This takeaway is the stereotypical “not much to look at but they have amazing food”
There’s no lights on the sign outside so at night you may miss it, parking is usually easy right outside the door and service is usually quick, especially if you collect.
The chips are also lovely from here, they’re proper chip shop chips and they give you good portions.
I hope Great Wall carries on the way they are and don’t change anything because “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
Never damaged it from the outside but the food is lovely and the salt and pepper chips are gorgeous
Tried a few things off the menu and so far it's all been good..
Definitely my favourite place for Chinese food at the moment. Can't comment on delivery service as I call and pick it up myself as I live quite close. The £5 boxes are good value for money. I'll keep going til I get a bad one as we all do! Hopefully the standards they have set will be kept and I'll keep returning
Another delicious meal from Charlie & lee and staff munch box fab and the beef in pineapple is delicious always delivered fresh & hot thanks guys will order more soon xxxx

I love this place generally get delivered but called in to place order had approx 10 min wait. Its was beautiful as always. Highly recommended
Nice food but could do some work on the interior as there is children playing and the floor rises when you stand on it. Also could be more hygienic.

Our go to Chinese, never had a bad meal and we order once a week on average, spot on with delivery of hot food and tasty food.
Never a bad meal in here. Staff are lovely too and orders are always correct.
This is the best Chinese in workington, im very fussy but this food is gorgeous 12/ 02/21
