A wonderful tearoom! I came about an hour before closing, but the staff still welcomed my group in and offered a collection of sandwiches, pasties, and cupcakes for us to share. Lovely food, decoration, and ambiance - highly recommend!
Fantastic war time theme throughout, music is gently played, delicate sandwiches, assortment of freshly made cakes, quiche, so many choices oh so tasty, value for money, pre book as gets booked weeks in advance. Endless tea and coffee, dainty China of the war time era. Staff so helpful. A must place
Went for the santa afternoon tea. The staff went above and beyond to help us. The food was delicious and plenty came home too. The presents the kids got were lovely. I'll be definetly coming back x
Visited the lake district all the way from Birmingham and this place is a must see. The place is amazing and the atmosphere is so cleverly done and it even has the 1940s smell (in a good way) we had the afternoon tea- it was such a big portion and the food was fab, very tasty (we're big food critics
Go back in time totally banging good music in the background and awesome cream tea and the staff are very welcoming and polite. The food is 10/10. I will be going back soon.
Have visited in person and had takeaway and the standard is always fantastic. The scones are huge yet so soft and light, and the cheese flan is dangerously good. Also recommend their homemade coleslaw, and chips. The staff are super friendly, and I haven’t had a single bad experience at Mr Wilson’s,

5 of us had the best ever afternoon tea at Mr Wilson's Tea Rooms yesterday! The Tea Rooms are done up splendidly and the staff are all so, so nice! They really do look after you well and enjoy having a chat with you too. Nothing is any bother for them. The food you get is so tasty and very well laid

Had a meat and cheese sharing platter and a box of cakes delivered for our wedding anniversary. It came beautifully boxed and tied in ribbon. Contents were fresh and appetizing and enough leftover for a second day! Fabulous. Can't wait until we can actually visit the tearooms in person. Huge thank y

Unfortunately some pastry and bread rolls very dry. Cheese scone beautiful flavour but again very dry.

Just wow. Amazing service and good old grub that brought memories flooding back. I haven't tasted food like that since I was a kid. I'd 100% go back again.
Had a baby shower here today and the staff were all lovely.good planning on social distances and food was Fabulous lots of it too, ambience is brilliant and i can't wait to see if anything is on for kids for Xmas as we would love to go. Highly recommend it 😊
