Whilst in the past it has spiraled into a pit of terrible quality drinks and disgusting food it has since reopened under new management. The owners are inviting and the food quality has dramatically improved. I asked to see the kitchen beforehand as a precaution and they happily obliged. What I saw
I took my daughter here for a meal. We were made to feel welcome, and service was good. The food was outstanding, best Thai food we had eaten. On top of this they had a special Monday nights offer which gave us a great dining experience for less than £40.
Excellent restaurant and good value.
Nice meal, restaurant obviously relatively newly opened and they’re just trying to find their feet but owners were really friendly & service was good. Food was impressive, clearly cooked fresh to order & far better than your run of the mill takeaway Chinese food that most people would compare to. Lo
We saw a sign outside advertising Dim Sum from 12pm to 2pm, so decided to try it out. It was very quiet as not many people seem to know about it serving Dim Sum - also available in the evenings from 6pm (Sundays all day from 12pm). The food was really tasty and we had a nice personal service as it
Pub & restaurant look great after being refurbished & when we visited the place was immediately clean. The atmosphere was friendly & there seemed to be a mix of locals & people visiting from further afield. Tony & Yan the new owners were really inviting, even putting on the TV for our son who was wi
A very nice atmosphere in this country pub.
The welcome was great.
A full 3 course HOME COOKED meal was fully enjoyed by all of my 18 guests for a relaxing dinner
The White Lyon and Dragon is simply the most delicious food this side of Myanmar.
What makes this fusion of gastro pub come trendy Tai club truly special is the wine list. Over the course of our three meals here we have been amazed by the quality of the selection.
More often than not these wines a
Has a huge car park on both sides and in front of the pub' (good for car club meets?). Tribute and Spitfire ale on the pumps. All the commuters go streaming past, oblivious to this haven from the rush hours' traffic.
We love this place... the food is awesome, the environment is sophisticated and classy yet relaxed and friendly... can't rate it highly enough! we enjoy the odd takeaway too!
This is a "forgotten backwater" pub', with a huge car park on both sides (suitable for car clubs?) . Tribute and Spitfire ale on the pumps, and WiFi available (key written on a slate on the wall). Commuters stream past on the Worplesdon Road, unaware of this haven from the commute.
New Chinese food very good and decor is nice. Service was attentive. Could do with some more craft beers.
I Would highly recomend this pub, I have returned multiple times since the new land lord started great staff at atmosphere, the new menu is great and the waitress was fantastic with requests!
