The John Gilbert - Worsley - Photo album

I had the brie and prosciutto sandwich and my partner had steak and ale pie. Both were served promptly and came well presented. Service was swift and friendly both from the kitchen and bar. Food was delicious and a decent price. Will come again.
Second visit to watch Pontiac perform there who were fantastic. Started off in the beer garden, then had some great food and followed up by the live band. Faultless as always, will be back again very soon as I hadn't realized it was a dog friendly pub.
We went 1pm on a Sunday and it was really quiet. Never been before but definitely be going back. The food was better than I thought it would be, wasn’t expensive, staff were friendly and the decor was great. Would recommend.
Popped in one evening while staying at the next door Novotel. Wonderful staff who brightened up the evening, nice beer and good selection of food. A nice Greene King pub 👍🏻
Really friendly and welcoming place. We ate on a Sunday mid-afternoon and the service was prompt. The portions were reasonable (BBQ chicken ) without being over-generous but you did have the option to pay an extra £1.50 with the burgers to double it. Overall positive and would return there.
Perfect! Food, atmosphere and service were second to none. Staff were friendly and professional. The prawn and chorizo dish was to die for and the trio of fries was lovely. Very happy customer and will be back again soon!
Was over from my home country seeing friends . We came across this beautiful looking pub . Decided to go in . The lady straight away welcomed us all . Food was great we had these what she called sharing plates . Great for sharing between friends
Stopped at this place last minute, as I had my grandchildren over and didn’t have enough food in to make a Sunday lunch… the food was lovely as was the service my grandchildren can be quite loud and with having an ADHD granddaughter. Sometimes this can be an issue but the staff were very lovely and
Came in with my partner on the 19th November, I’m sorry for the late review.. but our service was amazing, Allan made sure we were very well looked after.. this is now our new place and we are sure to see you again! ♥️
Was there today for a baby shower. Food on the bigget was great and the staff were lovely too. We created our own atmosphere in the small room, however there was very little atmosphere in the main part of the pub. It was quiet, very little hussle and bustle. So the five star are for the atmosphere
A very happy pub. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meals immensly two nights on the trot. Live Music on Friday night was good.
Nice place, our meals were lovely, just wish there was a bit more of a varied menu choice. Staff lovely, helpful and accommodating.
Love the fact they now allow dogs in 👍 always loved this place but will be visiting more often now my pooch is welcome too , food has always been good and the staff very friendly
Wow. Called here after visiting friends. What a great pub. Everything was perfect. The food was amazing. Can't wait to come again in December
We went for an after dinner drink, so I can't comment on the food. Everything else was great. It is a lovely old building which has been modernised inside.
