Exceptionally well run family takeaway.
Food is always 10/10 with service that goes above and beyond takeaway expectations. Very warm and welcoming family who run this takeaway with all their heart, which goes to show and speaks volumes in the outstanding customer care and the quality of the dishes produced. I wouldn't try any other Indian takeaway in this area, as this takeaway sets the standard, and one that is hard to match, let alone beat.
Highly reccomended.

I used to love this takeaway but they have changed their hours and so are only open from 5pm to 9pm every day. Was really looking forward to a curry last night, but they had closed before I had finished work 😔

Absolutely awful . Ordered 4 main meals and shared starters. This was a real disappointment. After the chewy and greasy starters was praying things couldn't get any worse but, they did. Mixed tandoori grill was overly salty and the lamb was inedible. TRULY AWFUL. The lamb sag had very little lamb and was half fat/half lamb. Chicken Madras was so hot after a few mouthful s it burnt our hosts mouth. Extremely runny and very little chicken. Same as tooth meal which was another chicken Madras. The mint sauce we ordered was not mint but mango. I have never written a review before but, felt I had to warn others .DO NOT GET A TAKEAWAY FROM THE INDIAN OCEAN IN WORTHING. THE WORST INDIAN CUISINE I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO EAT. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THE QUALITY OF FOOD THEY COOKED. I don't understand how their reviews are rated 4 out of 5☆.Simply unbelievable.

Friendly service but unfortunately the curry was very greasy to the point of being unpleasant. The spices were pleasant but subtle. The fact they give you pilau rice and poppadom with every main course is a positive but overall this was underwhelming.

Lovely little India takeaway. Lovely people who own it. Well worth a visit. They also deliver and delivery is fast

Easily the most appalling "alleged "Indian food I've ever tasted. Before I give this inedible charlatan restaurant a review, I would like to point out my other reviews. Most dining establishments and takeaways have received positive feedbacks from me, and by rule of thumb, I'm not a complainer .However at £67 for four inedible meals, we can't all be wrong. I ordered a lamb saag. Runny water with spinach and virtually no meat. Our guests chose chicken madras. Disgusting hot sauce with again very little meat was thrown in the bin instantly, as it was not fit for human consumption. I am completely mistified what a chicken mixed grill is? Is it supposed to be grey and taste like a pencil eraser? The pakora was just a ball of gunge dipped in obnoxious fatty batter. Nobody ate this quite gruesome mismatch of culinary disasters, and at this point, it has to be asked who is actually reviewing this establishment? I'm amazed they have a licence from west Sussex council! I would have thrown this garbage into the Indian Ocean, but I'm afraid I would have upset the natural eco system of the indigenous fish by poisoning them. Would love to hear how the proprietor can justify the tag "Restaurant "Frankly revolting.

Best curry in town!
Excellent food! Equally excellent staff! Just had a curry here and in my wifes words "best £30 I've spent on a takeaway!"
The food was divine, we had a korma and chicken medium curry. Garlic and plain naan. Poppadoms, mint sauce and mango chutney.
Plus 2 pilau rice and one egg fried rice.
It was so good that when we were tucking into it, the delivery driver had knocked on the door and and apologised greatly for forgetting our onion bhajis! We had completely forgotten about them as we were that pleased with our food. They could of just left it as we hadn't even rung about them but no, great honesty and great customer service.
Totally happy and totally satisfied with our food. Even our four yr old, the fussiest of eaters tucked into his portion.
Everything was piping hot and fresh. The naan bread lovely and soft, the poppadoms leaving a constant more taste in your mouth. Absolutely delicious.
150% recommend!!!

I now realise why The Indian Ocean Takeaway won the award for the Top 100 Indian Takeaway in the UK, and the Tried and Tasted 2015.
Having tried just about every takeaway in Worthing while babysitting over the last few years we have come to the conclusion that certainly the 'Indian' offerings are over priced, lacking in flavours & bulked up with unwanted onion, potato & tomato. So it was with great delight that last we discovered the Indian Ocean's delivery service.
Super quality food with truly subtle flavours and variety at a fair price. When we get the chance will be our takeaway of choice.
