We had the most amazing experience on the 31st May 2023 at the Wine Shack. Angus, Claire, the staff and the guest were so accommodating and made our son's 21st very memorable. Although we were a little late and delayed the start of the event, everyone continued to enjoy their evening with us and were all so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the guest along with the amazing wine and delicious food made by Claire. Btw Claire, please share the garlic prawn recipe, they were out of this world and everyone should try them if they ever visit the Wine Shack. Lovely place. Nice staff. Good food and huge, varied wine list. Wine flights a great option and the sharing boards well priced and tasty. Wish we had one closer to home!
Lovely place with a great variety of wines and a gorgeous little courtyard with lovely ambience. We came because we noticed they added a vegan board, and despite being close to the Stroud valleys, Wotton seriously lacks good vegan options in a lot of places. Given the climate crisis, it’s great to see more plant based items in town and the board was great. The experience could however be improved by the staff learning which wines are suitable for vegans as we did a lot of leafing through the menu before finding something we could share. We fancied a wine flight but they couldn’t do that with the vegan wines, so we shared a gorgeous bottle of rosé once we finally worked it out. Had a lovely time here and will definitely be back.

Nice setting and customer service. Food was on and wine good for the price. Tables are very small, couldn't manage the food and our plates, wine etc all on the table, felt quite cramped. Such a shame as there's soo much potential in the menu
Had an exquisite meal here with my Ma and sister on a busy Sat night last week. As we arrived, the staff advised they were short staffed and the joint was packed! Despite this, our service was second to none. The lovely waitress gave us a selection of three wines to taste before ordering a bottle, which was a nice touch. The food itself was outstanding! We ordered small dishes of a variety of foods, garlic prawns, hummus, halloumi, olives and such like. Really really loved it here, awsome atmosphere for a Sat night, highly recommended.

I was surprised to a wine tasting on my hen weekend and it was amazing Angus and Claire were fantastic. They arranged a cheese and meat board to accompany the wines. We had a quiz as well which was a nice touch and the wine selection was just fabulous with some local and vegan wines as well. The venue itself was so cute too. Thank you for make the weekend memorable.
Staff were a little ditsy, coming to back to clarify and check orders a lot. But they were super friendly and the owner was very knowledgeable about the wine and recommended some lovely bottles. Food was lush. Music a little loud for conversation but good playlist. Cosy.
I booked a wine tasting session for my friends hen do at the Wine Shack and we had the best time. Such great value for money, the wine’s we were offered were delicious! Claire made us a cheese and meat board which was so yummy and perfectly complimented the wine’s. It was the perfect balance of information, interaction and lots of fun. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a fab afternoon Angus and Claire!

Brilliant bottomless lunch on Saturdays - our host Neil was fantastic and the food by the chef was also excellent. Couldn’t fault anything, will definitely be back!
Popped into the Wine Shack on the off chance they had a table. Absolutely delicious wine, with a huge selection to choose from. Very friendly service that was attentive but not at all overbearing. Will definitely visit again to sample the tapas!

Visited a coupe of weeks ago now. Lovely venue. Food was really delicious. Sangria was superb and the recommended house white was too. Hopefully a long term asset to Wotton high street.
