What a find! In the area and stumbled upon this cafe by chance. Warm and friendly welcome combined with excellent home cooked food and perfect drinks.

Amazing cozy warm little place, food was lovely and very well presented. Warm scones, fantastic coffee in odd cups and saucers, loved it

Mad Hatters Tea Shop was a great choice on a rainy Saturday morning. The owner and staff graciously welcomed our party of five, displaying remarkable patience as we deliberated over our food and drink choices. In the end, we decided to embrace our inner foodies, going all out with a delightful mix of breakfast items and a piece of every cake, much to their amusement! 😂 Despite the abundance of food, the bill was surprisingly reasonable. I can't recommend their homemade sausage rolls and scones highly enough; they were absolute standouts. The seating area was not only clean but also very comfortable. Although quite a small area it was a pleasant atmosphere and didn’t feel cramped . The only minor flaw we encountered was a faint tea stain on one of our cups, which, considering the overall experience, hardly even qualifies as a fault. Mad Hatters Tea Shop is a gem of a place, and I'd give it a solid 5 stars without hesitation. It's the perfect spot for a delightful, indulgent morning tea experience.

One of the best places to go for a brunch/lunch/afternoon tea. The food is good quality, generous portions and the staff are always bright and friendly. You're always treated like the most important customer and their range of savoury and sweet means you'll always find something to satisfy you! Thank you for the amazing service as always

A lovely, cozy atmosphere for a relaxed lunch. Their cheese scone was extremely tasty — I strongly recommend if you are a scone fan! The others in my party really enjoyed their bacon and cheese toasties. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We would definitely visit again!

A great location for a tea shop serving ‘homemade loveliness’ indeed. Excellent service, really good, fresh food with vegan and gluten free options. Served an excellent pot of tea, also coffees and hot chocolate looked appetising. We’ll be back!

Absolutely lovely. Thoroughly recommend the savory cream tea. If nothing else, you simply must try the cheese scones! Definitely with the tomato chutney if you can, it is devine! The coleslaw is also delicious, I think it may have wholegrain mustard in which added to the flavour. 10/10, would recommend.

Vintage style cafe , quite small inside , seating for about 10 people and a few tables outside . we had 2 cream teas , one with iced caramel coffee and an additional cheese scone , all for the price of £13.25 , all of it was very tasty , the owner and staff were faultless , will definitely pop in again 👍😄

I came here for afternoon tea when I was visiting the area, blown away by everything: the fab decor, the wonderful cakes and the helpful superfriendly staff. I moved here a couple weeks ago and haven't had time to go back for a sitdown but have had takeouts, and I asked them to make me a thankyou cake - heavy on the chocolate - my friend says it is the best she's had, ever (and she's sampled a lot!). Can't recommend enough, and can't wait to get over for lunch soon.

Lovely little tea shop with very welcoming staff who helped me with the pram and didn't rush us out despite staying past their opening hours when breastfeeding the little one. Thank you!

We arrived half hour before they closed so only had time for tea, coffee and a large slice of date and ginger cake. Delicious. We sat outside. Our table was cleaned for us. Service was friendly. Small with nice decor. We will definitely return, but earlier next time to sample their savouries or afternoon tea.

Absolutely lovely little find. Really reasonably priced and the food was gorgeous. Cream tea for one was excellent value for money and we weren't ripped off for soft drinks either :-)

Met a friend for tea and cake on a Friday afternoon. The food and drink was very nice and we were served promptly. My only quibble is that the room is small, the tables are very close together and it was quite difficult to hear my friend above the conversation from neighbouring tables.
