Chopstick

First time trying Chopstick and customer service is great! Woman taking my order was very friendly. I was surprised that it took an hour for takeout order to be ready, especially because when I arrived to pick up the food, only two people were there, drinking beers at the bar. So order well ahead of when you want to eat! We ordered four sushi rolls and gyoza (steamed). Gyoza was great, but I was less impressed with the sushi rolls. Would try other items on their menu some other time!

This is one of my favorite "standard" Japanese restaurants locally and has become my go-to for takeout sushi. It doesn't seem to push the limits for the most part beyond your typical Japanese-American restaurant but everything was really fresh, delicious and thoughtful. I got some of my old standbys here in the form of gyoza, shumai, an assortment of rolls and everything was fantastic. The fish seemed really high quality, for example sometimes the scallop maki in particular had a large delicious piece of scallop topped with this really delicious spicy mayo.

I first went to Chopstick sushi years ago and sadly I was disappointed at the meal I had there. But I recently I decided to give it another shot. I am really happy to say that the second time around was great. Their sushi is great quality, their portions are generous, and their wait staff there takes great care of you. I will definitely be visiting Chopstick Sushi regularly from now on.

Called to order sushi last night. I let the hostess know that the person I ordered the tuna roll for had an allergy to salmon and crab. She said she didn’t understand because there isn’t crab or salmon in a tuna roll. I let her know that I understood, but if possible, it would be great if the sushi chef could use a clean board to prep the sushi. She said she didn’t understand because the chef washes the knife. She became very defensive and argumentative when I felt like it was a very normal ask. Didn’t follow through with the order because of how rude she was.
