We visited here while passing through Newbury the other day, and we're so glad we did as the staff were so friendly, pub atmosphere was great and the terrace out the back overlooking the canal was lovely whilst the sun was going down.

Went the day after they reopened and nearly passed out that a double vodka and coke plus a single gin and lemonade was £15.20. Was doing a bit of a pub crawl and that was the most expensive place we went to for those two drinks. Toilets were a lot better than they used to be with the refurb though
Great bar staff and great atmosphere. Definitely best pub in Newbury. Helen is always polite and kind.

super friendly atmosphere - great staff - wide variety of drinks and wonderful music - i was spiked here on 1 occasion so i would be wary of that however that is not the establishments fault and i do feel safe going back to this location
Been in here regularly for the last 2 years while working in the area ...great staff and always good music . Recommended
Whilst working away, we found the little gem. We was made to fill very welcome by the young bar staff. We had a few drinks and got talking to a few gents within to bar. I've never felt more comfortable whilst having a beer while I've been away for work. A great atmosphere all round. I highly recomme
Great value beers and live music every Friday night. Good atmosphere but can be difficult to get served when it's busy.
Nice terrace overlooking the canal at the back. Good for a chill in the afternoon in the summer.
