Super friendly pub at the heart of the village! Gorgeous outside seating areas, plenty of cute little hideaways and such a welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 service and food. Really couldn't recommend highly enough. Family and pet friendly.
It was going through a revamp so I wasn't able to see it in its full glory and taste any food but the pub is much to my liking. I am going to be visiting again as my best friend lives in the village and we may watch a few sport matches which it has on show with the large screens. A nice little looki

I will admit to a little bias as this is my local but the Volunteer Inn is as good as it's possible to be in the current environment. After a 6 hour walk, and an hour to wait for the bus back home, it was heaven, to sit amongst the display of blooms in the Beer Garden, at the rear of the pub, away from the traffic. with a cool lager, it was freedom after all the lock down restrictions..

I ordered a take away curry from the Volunteer Pub ( my local watering hole),during the lock down,
It was delivered piping hot together with a bottle of beer. I must say it was one of the best curry's I have ever had, I will certainly have another one.

Popped in for a drink whilst out walking. Very friendly. Lots of dogs in bar area. A rustic garden at back of pub. Not wheelchair friendly. Food menue looked very good. Will definitely be back.
Brilliant Sunday roast ! Plenty of beef and vegetables!! No nonsense food at a good price! Don't expect posh but great pub roast with high quality meat
