Nice enough pub, beers okay, food is nice, fish and chips is huge! Fine if you're local, certainly worth a visit though if you're passing by. In summary give it a go!

Since the pub has been taken over by new management it has come a long way! Super friendly staff who are really welcoming to families & even dogs. The food is amazing, it’s always served piping hot and the Sunday roast is amazing value for money. Definitely made it a lovely local village pub again. The girls behind the bar are just wonderful! We drive in from the town to visit because it simply worth it!

A simply fantastic village pub. Wonderful friendly management who are always cheerful and spoilt my little girl when we had a family lunch as well as on another occasion offering free prosecco to my mother who's birthday it was. Super dog friendly, great food and wonderful surrounds. Nothing but a lovely time when ever we visit.

Friendly staff. We had a great time for lunch. Ales were clear, wine was tasty and the food was really well done. My pie has delicious filling and tasty pastry and everyone cleaned their plates.

Now the new chef is in place the Sunday lunch was excellent, and the blackcurrant brulee was superb. Beer is also good, plenty of choice, and very welcoming staff.

Lovely Pub, friendly staff, awesome beers, shame I couldn't have had more as I had my daughters wedding on the Saturday. pizza was amazing (Fri evening) Ideal location for me, as was staying at the Folly Farm B&B 10 min walk away

This is a really welcoming pub. The staff are super friendly - the chef popped out of the kitchen to check exactly what we'd like with a cheese sandwich I'd just ordered for my daughter. Lovely guy, great sandwich! The chunky chips were incredibly tasty. I had the vegan burger with sweet potato fried and that was great. I'd have given it 5 stars if there was more than one vegan option or any non-alcoholic beers - apparently there were 2% ABV option but kind of needs to be 0.5% to count as a non-alcoholic. Still, lovely place!

A regular stop for me at weekends, I love this pub. The food is always reliably tasty, wholesome and made with love. I'm a cider fan so I'm happy to see a range of quality local ciders which are changed often. The pub itself is well situated and has a feeling of history and community. The interior is cosy and well maintaned. The fire is warm in the winter, the beer garden is welcoming in the Summer, there's even room for a camper van overnight. Blanche and Alex run a right ship and take pleasure in being great hosts.

We had a lovely long weekend here over the bank holiday. The accommodation was excellent, clean and welcoming, to us and our puppy, and the landlords and staff most friendly. Our little kitchenette was well stocked with utensils so we were able to cook in, plus all the essentials for a breakfast of toast, cereal, yogurt, tea/coffee and juice were provided for in the apartment. The shower was great, not very big, but full marks for power. Food in the pub was very good too, with a hygiene rating of 5/5: We had a delicious meal of BBQ chicken on our first night, and proceeded to try all the ciders as the weekend progressed. Would absolutely come back again, highly recommended

Popped in for Sunday Lunch with friends and dogs, we were welcomed by both staff and locals and the food was great. First time in this area but will be back and could well make this our base on our next weekend break.
