I think this is the best brunch spot in York. There are other good options nearby, but the food here is a level above.
The options are classics, but with a twist (eggs Benedict with truffle and brown butter hollandaise, for example). The portion sizes are decent, definitely leaving the table full.

Perfect little cafe in York. I was looking for somewhere different on our visit and so glad I found this place. If you have to wait 5-10 mins for a table you know the food is good! I'd love to return when it's warmer so I can try sitting outside. Highly recommend.
Had lunch here on a Saturday. Must have timed it just right as we only waited a few minutes for a table. Service was great and the food was excellent. Sloppy joe sandwich was delicious.
I opted for this venue for my final lunch in York based on the queue for a table, which I happily joined.
As soon as a table was available, I was shown through to the back of the Bistro. There's a drinks menu, and the food available for the day is located on the chalkboards around the venue.

Absolutely wonderful. Friendly stuff and best cheese cake ever. Coffees and cakes are beautiful presented and enjoyably atmosphere with outdoor seating. Will definitely come back for food, they good gorgeous!
