An absolutely stunning 3 course meal, attentive friendly staff and a great view of the minster. One of the best meals I've ever eaten, genuinely. The quality of every dish was second to none and you could taste every ingredient! Hats off to the best restaurant we've eaten in for a very long time.
My wife and I go out once a fortnight to eat out. We travel a lot and eat at many restaurants all over the UK. This is one of the best we have been too. We had a three course meal and every dish was fantastic. I loved the starter pan fried king prawns superb.

Love calling in here everytime we go to York. The food is amazing, especially the goats cheese salad. The service has always been nothing less than perfect. Friendly attentive and made to feel welcome. Prices are excellent for the quality of food you receive and the view, especially when sat outside is, well, you can't get any closer to the minster! Stunning views.
Thank you Bennett's and we'll be back again soon
Stopped off here (6/23) as a group of six after visiting Jorvik. Sat outside in the sun right in front of the Minster and we all had typically English afternoon snacks - crumpets, toasted teacakes or scone with cream and jam (that was mine) and of course a cuppa. All delicious and reasonably priced. Super-friendly staff too.
Lovely little cafe with seating in or out.
The waiters were very "matter of a fact" but they were polite and helpful.
There isn't a huge choice of food but certainly enough for a lunchtime snack.
We ordered some sandwiches for the kind and I had scrambled egg and salmon and it was very tasty.
The speed of service was amazing. Food was brought out within 10 minutes of ordering.
It wasn't super busy but there was a healthy turnover of customers.
No frills but a nice decent cafe.
A fantastic spot for a good cup of tea! Literally in front of the Minster, the scones were really good and the place was cosy on a very chilly day. A marvelous way of saying goodbye to York 💙
Lovely place, we had some tea and scones. It is a very cosy spot with a very relaxing atmosphere.
Friendly staff
The location is very pleasant as you can see the York Mister and church at the window while you enjoy your tea/ coffee
We bumped into this cute little cafe while wondering around in York. Ordered Carrot cake, Scone with Cream and Jam, Hot chocolate, and coffees (Lattes).
Their carrot cake was a good portion and tasty, simply very yumm. Their scone with cream and jam is my favorite. They make good coffees and hot chocolate too!
Highly recommend this place ! Felt lucky to find this gem out of pure chance☺️🌝
Breakfast with a view!
This cafe has the biggest window per table ratio I have seen in a while ... Everyone loves a spot of people watching.
Oh, and the food is truly scrumptious!
Most enjoyable pitstop before starting a day of touristy sight seeing.
The staff were delightful and most accommodating.
If you don't visit here, then you won't have the required energy levels for a trek around the city... Do it!!
Yorkshire tea with a scone and double cream and strawberry a delight for afternoon tea!!
An excellent eatery just by York Minster; really excellent food and drink, with very friendly and helpful staff and great service.
We popped in on Sunday and were lucky to get a table but it was well worth it - the goats cheese salad and ham hock terrine were really delicious and I'd heartily recommend to anyone.
Definitely would visit again, and will make a point of going back next time I'm in York.
