The Perky Peacock Coffee Shop - York - Photo album

Super little place right on the river. Food was excellent. I had a scone, my friend had a bacon sandwich, both lovely. Value for money was about right for the centre of a tourist city. We were cycling today & would definitely stop here again.
Drizzly day , so the first floor tables were full. Headed to the ground floor , which unfortunately seemed to be also used as a bit of a storeroom with boxes cans, brollies and cushions piled up next to the door. Shame as the rest of the room looked nice , Took away from the ambience a bit. Sto
Coffees and butty were great. The atmosphere and surroundings were very quaint and inviting. Due to the VERY old building there was no toilet available, but the friendly staff directed us to the nearby facilities.
Perfect place to stop for a coffee before continuing through the walled city. Peacock themed, immersed in history Check out the dungeon below
Dropped in here for a bite to eat and a cuppa while walking along the riverside. A few tables with views of the river, this was a pretty relaxing place to spend an hour watching the boats and people go by. Surprised that its opening time was only to 4pm on a lovely sunny, busy day. Beer was reasona
A very important pleasant lunch today! We sat by the heater and it was toasty warm. The service was prompt and the coffees/food arrived quickly! The staff were friendly and looking forward to coming again! There’s no toilet by the way, so we walked to the train station for a comfort break!
Cute stop along the wall that’s actually inside one of the towers. Tons of character and great coffee, it is a tight space (only 4 small tops inside but plenty of seating outside). BUT being dog friendly puts the cherry on top 😊
This place had a reputation for great cake so i wanted to see if it were the case. I tried the brownie crunch cake, it was rich without being too sweet and had a nice blend of textures with gooey & crunchier bits. The coffee was decent too. Customer service was friendly and it’s a cute little venu
Nice old watch tower building that is now a coffee shop. It is only a small place inside but very warm and friendly. The coffee shop is a cosy nice place to sit and have a coffee or in my case hot chocolate. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is not that expensive I would choose this place
We love coming to the Perky Peacock! It's such a funky location, with some seating inside and lots of tables outside overlooking the river. They have one of the best mochas in York! It's always a treat to come here - a must visit! After a coffee, follow the path along the river headed out of tow
Super quaint cafe built into an old castle. Amazing views, fun history, and a lovely atmosphere. My cappuccino was top notch as well as my (not pictured) BLT. I would have snapped a photo but it was so delicious I couldn't help but dig in!
Super cute cafe in the dungeon of this beautiful tower by the river. The day that we went it was snowing quite randomly and we had the entire place to ourselves. It's really cute and cozy decor. Service is really friendly. The one thing I found was that portions were really small. We ordered soup a
On our last day in York we had some time to spare whilst we waited for the train 🚆 and we come across this quaint little restaurant in one of the old Bridge towers. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious they can definitely make a decent martini 🍸 this was a perfect end to our little br
Great coffee, cosy little space, little bit cold inside but otherwise very cut and quaint. Also a little stingy with only one sausage the sausage and bacon butty, but otherwise the sarny was brilliant. Great baps.
Lovely ice creams (try their black vanilla!) and coffee. Sat outside looking over the River Ouse and enjoyed the bird life, the cruise boats and young rowing crews as they prepared for training. The service was excellent and the café building reeked history. All in all, a great find! We’ll be back…!
Nice place, excellent cinnamon bun. Comfy sofa.
A delightful cafe right on the banks of the Ouse. We had a light breakfast with a sausage and bacon sandwich for Dad, Pain au Chocolate for Mum and hot chocolate for Spud. The sandwich was simply sliced white with delicious bacon and sausage. It may not look as fancy as a huge chunk of sourdough but
Fantastic coffee! Best we've had in the UK! The staff was fun and friendly the atmosphere was amazing and the whole experience unique. Highly recommend
Prefect place to enjoy a cappuccino. Good atmosphere and a very kind service.
