Amazing place. Absolutely can't fault it. The staff are so friendly and professional and have fantastic customer service. Portion sizes are incredible and taste out of this world. Really good value for money. Honestly one of my favourite places ever!!
Highly recommend Mulan Chinese for a takeaway - best one in York. They answer the phone promptly, the take away was ready on time and food was of above average quality. The food was good value too, an order for 6 adults and 4 children’s was £100.
Watch out for the massive portion sizes though - gen
We visited for the first time today (Sunday 17th Sept) whilst in the area on holiday. We've been coming to York for years and only just found this hidden gem.
The service was fabulous. Very attentive and on hand should you need anything.

I was initially perplexed by the name of the restaurant as it was perhaps named after one of my all time favourite movies but I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of food and the friendliness of the host and the quick services that followed. We have been looking for a good Chinese take away for as long as we can remember. The Mulan was recommended by our good friend Miles, so we ordered a take away last night (14/04/23). My wife and I both agreed that it was the best Chinese food we have ever tasted! The king prawn in ginger and onions
The Mulan's food is excellent. Sharing starters were all great. Sizzling steak was top notch and plentiful.
Had my birthday dinner here with my dad and the food was absolutely gorgeous!!!!! We both had sizzling steak dishes. The staff are very friendly and helpful and were very knowledgeable on gluten free dishes for me. We will be back and I thoroughly recommend!!!!

The quality of the food and surroundings are excellent and comparable to another excellent restaurant a few miles away but at twice the price. Their prawn toast that comes as a part of the starter platter is the best i have ever tasted!
