I've always loved this place but today just solidified it even more as one of the best places to be ever! I really wanted some pancakes with lots of fruit for breakfast so - feeling a little cheeky and unsure - i asked if the lovely dude behind the bar if he had any other fruit besides the banana op on the menu and he immediately responded with a smile and offered some strawberries and blueberries to go with the banana. You guys made my day! Also the lovely chef lady even came up to check what i wanted. Thank you so much �

This is an amazing place. It's the one place in York we regularly go and meet with people. Maybe for a glass of Prosecco. Or coffee and a toasted sandwich food (there's a new kitchen and eating area upstairs so the food may have changed but I'm sure it's still as good) It's a fab, social place; always busy but not too busy. The place is just amazing. If I had my own place. This would be the model I'd choose - flattery at the highest level. :-).

On a week night this is a very sensory friendly space for neurodivergent adults. Low lighting, while still easy to navigate, and light jazz music. The fact the coffee machine is still in use throughout the evening also opens up options for those who want to go out while not feeling the pressure to drink alcohol

This little place is a favourite of mine. Great for cocktails. Always a great atmosphere. Don't be put off if it looks full because there is an outside space and tables upstairs. They don't do table service so to speak, but they will bring your drinks to you once they're ready. Not mega expensive and they'll make pretty much any cocktail you ask for. They also have a good selection of wine and beer to pick from too.

Excellent flat white (better than spring espresso across the street). Friendly staff, good seats out the front for people watching and a small terrace out the back. Decent prices for lager for being on a pedestrianised street and having their own craft beer.

Popped in on way to train station for some brunch. Great place that serves nice coffee and the best Brie and Bacon toastie!

Very nice and cosy in the little back yard. Unusual arrangement with hot savoury food,it came from across the road but was delicious. Staff very warm & friendly.
