Great place to stay if visiting York, easy access into the centre. Staff friendly, helpful & always there if needed. Food in the Mill field connected to Premier Inn for all meals has friendly staff, great food and excellent service from all staff across the sites. Rooms very comfortable, does not have AC in rooms but do provide fan in rooms which are large, quite while working and provided enough cool breeze to stay comfortable when staying in warmer weather.
Had both breakfast and Dinner here. Both delicious, I have no complaints at all. I had the grilled salmon for dinner which was very good. For starters had chicken goujons which were very tender, just wish there was more.
Excellent meal. Surf and turf - Sirloin steak, medium rare, perfectly cooked and tender. Garlic Prawns on top also well cooked and tender.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
The only downside I can think of is that it took some finding, hidden behind a fish and chips restaurant and a premier Inn. Not very well signposted. My satnav found it, but I don't think I would have found it without. It is buried in the depths of an industrial/trading estate. It was lunchtime and very quiet.
Really great service, reasonably priced mains but sides a bit disappointing. Broccoli side consisted of three very small florets on the stem, which at £3.95 I thought was a bit pricey. However, the salmon and rice was lovely, really well cooked, and the mini pud was nice too (but the brownie needed a bit of ice cream or cream). Overall though, lovely, and breakfast the next day also really good. Would definitely return, and we'll done to the staff for their great service and friendliness
Usual Beefeater that is attached to a Premier Inn (which we spent two nights at) Staff were fantastic (especially Mitch) and food was uniformly excellent.
Stopped by for breakfast and was very pleasant. Its a buffet style with plenty of selection from hot, cold and full range of drinks.
Also the staff are very polite and while they look crazy busy were always happy to help with a smile.
When kids eat free also its a bargain for a family of 5.
Just like the rest of the chain pubs in England. Wide range of food and drinks to choose from. Only downside is we had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive at the table, there was only a few tables in the restaurant that were occupied and we had only ordered 2 cokes so I thought this was a little slow. Other than that, the food is nice and you get what you pay for.
Exceptional service from Vicky and the team- managed to fit us in for breakfast (4 people) even though we had no booking. She advised us what was available and a few items that were due to be restocked which we appreciated knowing food would be along shortly. A credit to the team and will definitely be back in the future.
Had dinner and breakfast here whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door. Absolutely fantastic service from Mitchell and the whole team, with great care taken to cater for my gluten intolerance both at dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended!
We popped in here for an evening meal and a couple of drinks while staying at the premier inn. They have kids meal / menu options and there is a fair amount of choice on the main menu, although it's all a bit more pricey than I remember a beefeater pub being... perhaps it's been a while!!
Staff seemed cheery and they were cleaning up tables fairly quickly. The main restaurant loos were not available, which meant that the bar toilets were only ones in use, which for a large restaurant / pub were not very big. Also a few options on the menu that were not available.
When food came it was all fine, not spectacular but fine. I gave it an extra star as they had some nice cocktail options that the wife took full advantage of (what with only a small walk to do afterwards!)
