Tea On The Green

Shared lovely tea and scones with a friend here last week. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere warm with a background of lovely conversations going on. Was able to have a gluten free fruit scone which was wonderful and my friend enjoyed a cheese one. Thank you for having a gluten free option, will definitely be visiting again.

A friend and I, plus my two terriers, dropped in for an impromptu brunch: a sausage sandwich and a veggie roll (mushrooms, egg, tomato and a hash brown). The food was lovely, the coffee was good, the service was just fine. Would definitely recommend, worth booking in advance 'though as the cafe was very busy. We were lucky and got a table which wasn't reserved until a bit later.

Across the road from a small park in Acomb in York. There are outside tables and parking nearby. Staff were friendly and professional. Menu was simple and basic. This is a cafe, not a restaurant. I ordered a bacon roll, It came quickly, was perfectly cooked and very nice indeed. York isn't short of tea shops but this is one of the best. I think it's good for families, with a park across the road, and couples and individuals, et cetera. Probably not your business meeting kind of a place. Gets busy but quite on weekday mornings.

Was recommended Tea on the Green for an evening buffet for up to 60 people. Food was amazing and plentiful with fantastic range of fresh sandwiches, pies, pastries and a platter of Indian mini snacks. Would highly recommend and definitely use again next time we need a really good buffet spread at a great price. Many thanks!
