Fab tea room and the food is so fresh and delicious! Will definitely be going again! Just a shame you have to go outside to get to the loo so I recommend popping your coat on

Debbie catered for my 50th birthday party & I can’t speak highly enough of the beautiful food she created. I asked for an elective selection of tapas dishes, which she did including beef in paprika, chicken & chorizo skewers & lime & chilli prawns! They were delicious! She offered to do antipasti boards of cold meats, olives, cheese & bread which was an inspired idea! Very happy vegetarian guests were also catered for individually. She also created a selection of small puds and the strawberries dipped in chocolate were to die for! Everyone came to me at the party and said how much they loved the food. Would definitely recommend as Debbie went out her way to make my party as special as possible. Thank you so much! x

beautiful location and delicious range of food. We had fruit scone with jam and clotted cream Delicious!! Card machine wasn't working when we were there so was cash only. (Good for our pocket and our waist line though 😀 )

A friend and I, plus my two terriers, dropped in for an impromptu brunch: a sausage sandwich and a veggie roll (mushrooms, egg, tomato and a hash brown). The food was lovely, the coffee was good, the service was just fine. Would definitely recommend, worth booking in advance 'though as the cafe was very busy. We were lucky and got a table which wasn't reserved until a bit later.

We came in for lunch a few weeks ago having seen recommendations from Facebook. A friend and I had the ‘Tea on the Green’ (£8.95) which consisted of a sandwich (any choice), salad, crisps and scone (any choice) with jam and clotted cream. It was delicious! We saw a notice about their tapas evenings as made enquiries. They were about to start these evenings the following week. As we had a lovely experience, we booked in for the tapas evening. The weather was very warm on the Friday evening of our meal and we chosen to sit outside. It was like being on holiday with the warm sun in the background! We brought our own alcoholic drinks and we’re promptly asked by one of the team if we wanted glasses. We also perused the menu and without too much thinking, picked the full tapas menu (£22.95pp). The food came in stages which was great as you could spread out all the eating!! It was delicious and fresh, and had plenty to eat!! The staff were attentive and friendly. We also managed some puddings which again were delicious! Later on they brought us baklavas which were fabulous! A lovely end to a fantastic meal!! It was such a lovely experience that we will definitely be back again!! The staff were great! It’s in a convenient location and the setting was just right!! By the way, you could also purchase alcoholic drinks from the bar next door too! Great collaboration!!

Across the road from a small park in Acomb in York. There are outside tables and parking nearby. Staff were friendly and professional. Menu was simple and basic. This is a cafe, not a restaurant. I ordered a bacon roll, It came quickly, was perfectly cooked and very nice indeed. York isn't short of tea shops but this is one of the best. I think it's good for families, with a park across the road, and couples and individuals, et cetera. Probably not your business meeting kind of a place. Gets busy but quite on weekday mornings.

Delicious! Great quality, tasty & fresh food. We came back a second time after having the best quiche ever (got a piece to takeaway this time). Lovely friendly and welcoming ladies that run the place. We will be back again soon.

Had 2 or 3 Large Teas from venues done by Tea on the Green and all been excellent, wonderful fresh sandwiches cakes scones and other delicious snacks, and all diets catered for, very polite staff eager to please, always pleased when I go to a venue where Tea on the Green has done the catering. 👍
