What a lovely little country pub! Stumbled across it whilst looking at a new house in Cawood. The young female behind the bar was very polite and friendly. Whilst we didn’t stay long it made a lasting impression on us.
They serve food and the menu looking good value for money. We will be eating here soon regularly as we bought the house and it will be our new local. Can’t wait! Pour me another Guinness.

Stayed on the campsite. Bar, food and staff highly recommended. We only stayed 1 night whilst passing through to the North. Village was lovely with a tea rooms serving fresh breakfast, a bakery and provisions shop. An interesting walk around Cawood. We were pleased to have stumbled across this lovely stopover.

What a treasure of a place!
Dog friendly, flat camping pitches, perfect for our Motorhome without chocks.
The most delightful staff you can ever hope to meet. Good beer and great fresh, home cooked food.
Special thanks to Sam and Dani, who made us so welcome.
We will be back for sure 😊

Food was good. We camped, need more men's toilets and the toilet roll needs replacing when it has run out. Nice tidy site.

Nice pub with a friendly atmosphere. Excellent Sunday roast and good beer. Nice little camp site to rear for vans.

Nice pub eatery, reasonable menu, friendly staff.
Food good but not spectacular.
The pie was good, asked to order sweets with mains, which seemed strange, we didn't and that was not a problem.
Excellent outdoor seating area, ample parking, good selection of beers, lagers and wines .
Could recommend.

Lovely warm country, village pub. Warm atmosphere, Amazing service and very welcoming.
Menu choice was very good, something for everyone.
Party of 7, and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. Starters included - chicken wings, chipotle sausages, prawns and olives. All fresh and delicious.
Mains included, burger, rump steak and lamb shank - All fresh, beautifully presented and delicious.
Chips were homemade, steak cooked perfectly, burger was big and tasty.
Good choice of drinks and food - highly reccomened and will definitely be back to try Sunday lunch and other dishes on the menu.
Overall 10/10, fab service, attentive staff and delicious food.
Also the pub had a lovely atmosphere, cosy, welcoming and clean.

Been here a few times and every time is great. Food is delicious and the staff are lovely . A waitresses overheard my family talk about my birthday and brought my desert out with a candle. Brilliant service all around.

This review covers both the camp site and the restaurant.
Camping at the Castle was a pleasurable and relaxing experience. The site is quiet, clean, tidy and friendly. More geared up to camper vans and caravans, but great for tents too. Electric hookup was a bonus.
Only one male and one female shower, but no long waits (guess the caravaners use their own facilities). All nice and clean.
The pub's restaurant is very good. We were there for four nights and ate there three times, including an excellent Sunday lunch.
The restaurant is very popular and gets very busy. I'd really recommend pre-booking. Some people turned up Sunday and weren't able to eat as they were booked up.
The Castle is one of three pubs in the village, but the only one that serves food. There's also a lovely cafe/post office/deli/general store/off licence a five minute walk from the site.
The pub staff are all lovely, very friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic stay and will return.

Stopped for our first time at Cawood park and where normally we would eat in, we actually ate every night in this place. The food is excellent, high class restaurant quality. Staff are brilliant and it's a lovely chic little place to eat. Definitely worth a visit.

We had tea on a Saturday night in Mrs Bs, every course was served to an amazing standard, couldn’t fault anything. Made to feel very welcome by all the staff and was kindly invited into the large function room by the bar and restaurant manager to watch the live act they had on for the evening!
