The Ship Inn - York - Photo album

Popped in for an afternoon coffee and to sit in their garden near the river. The young lady serving at the bar was very friendly and brought the coffees outside for us. Hot, well presented and a nice sized biscuit on the side. The Ship is local to us but is virtually next door to several very good
A bit out of the way but right next to a caravan park so it took ages to get a drink. A bit short of staff but they did their best and everyone was doing their bit. Food arrived in reasonable time and my steak pie was not only huge but also filled with tender meat. My wife had a small plate steak, w
We were spoilt for choice with good ales, and the food was seriously good, including substantial and tasty nachos and fish and chips that could have come from a proper chippy they were so good. All the staff were really friendly, too, and the garden was a lovely spot in the sunshine.
Had a lovely meal there last week. Husband ordered the steak pie and we've never seen so much meat in a pie..I had lasagne and both were delicious
What a find. Room overlooking the river ouse. Lovely country pub and evening meal was super. Ian the barman was so helpful, nothing too much. Surprised to see him cleaning early nxt morning. Again nothing was too much trouble for breakfast guests. 10 outta 10 we aim to return
Lovely location. Had a smashing lunch of classic fish and chips after walking there from York along the river. Friendly and efficient staff. Beer garden recommended! Use it or lose it folks.
Next to the river really nice people behind the bar that are also keeping the seating area out side clear of glasses and plates .the food looks amazing. But I've not eaten there yet .just a nice atmosphere 👌🏻
Went here for my daughter’s birthday as she has just moved to the village. Service and food were excellent and reasonably priced too. Fish and chip’s outstanding
We were visiting York and walked here this weekend from our guest house a few hundred yards along the riverside path and had some lovely pub grub and a few pints of Theakstons; lovely pub with small but very friendly and efficient staff team. I believe they have changed hands recently and I am thin
This is a very pretty pub on the banks of the River Ouse. The beer is excellent, the staff are good and it has a great ambience. A proper pub and the kind of place you wish was your local.
Lovely pub on the corner at Acaster Malbis, beer garden at front to river/people watch, especially on a sunny afternoon, plenty of parking spaces over the road, great river views
Lovely pub and in a great location. Fantastic walk along the tow path of the river.
Went for Sunday lunch on Father's day. Very good value for money and decent service đź‘Ź Had a very nice out door area and is dog friendly đź‘Ś
