We were disappointed that food was stopped being served at 3pm on a Saturday but the lovely, friendly, landlady explained why and offered to prepare a sandwich or similar. We decided not to have a sandwich as we wanted hot food so instead tried the beer. The Sam Smith's bitter was a little over cool but when it warmed up the pleasant flavours came through. The prices are exceptional as is the case with Sam Smiths. We sat in the large rear lounge which is also the dining area at one end. It was like sitting in somebody's lounge with cushions and sofas. Very airy and pleasant. Everywhere was clean and well kept. Would visit again.
Driven pasted many times so thought it was time to call in. Friday lunch time, only a few inside place. Service good & friendly. Beers excellent & food nice & hot. Will call in again next time I'm hungry & in the area. đź‘Ť

A good tied road house pub. Beer excellent. Food pub grub. Outside and inside 1950's retro looking. Large free car park. Though right alongside A64 surprisingly quiet even in the beer garden. Very easy to drive past A64 east bound very fast road. No access west bound A64.
Lovely steak pie with no onion or mushroom snuck in. That, to me indicates a place you can trust. Now getting stuck into the Old Brewery Bitter. First couple lovely but that's not a proper sample is it? Recommend :-)
We visited when there was very bad traffic, to take a break. The kids LOVED it. So much sports equipment. Football and badminton outside. Golf putting, darts, table football, hoopla inside! Good kids meals, great service and immaculate, huge/spacious interior. We are being begged to go again!
Really 3njoyed my visit here. Staff were especially attentive. Food was great and service was very quick. There's lots of different games etc around the place to keep you entertained or you can sit in the garden and chill out with a beer. Will definetly stop in again if I'm ever back that way.
I am happy to endorse Bev and her team at the Buckles. We had a family event there recently. The food was good and plentiful. The room was marvellous and the staff were extremely helpful. Parking was more than adequate and for us the location was ideal. Would I use them again? ...like a shot. Don't waste time ringing round call Bev. You won't be sorry.
Staying at the traveloge we decided to pop in for a meal when we arrived at the bar we were told they stop serving food at 8.00pm and it was now 8.30pm but the lovely landlady said it would be no problem to still serve us ... the food was great plentiful and very tasty would definitely recommend! Thank you ever so much for feeding us
Nice, friendly atmosphere. Great food, excellent value for money. Suitable for large groups and possible to hire out function rooms.
Excellent traditional pub. Great Beer, Great Food and VERY friendly and accommodating staff.
