The staff is wonderful and very friendly. The food is made fresh and is very tasty. I totally recommend the place.
Jenny's fish and chips is one of the best fish and chips you are going to have in York. Quick service, the staff are friendly, and everything is very reasonably priced.
It's quite a small place and gets warm very quickly from the deep fryers, but because they're so quick getting the food ready and to you, it's not too bad, though I do feel for the staff being stuck behind the fryers!
Opening times are incorrect on Google and on their Door signage too so they are probably open when you think they are not eg. Google says Opens at 2am when I went around 12pm and it was open. Food is great and better than some other Chippies in York I've visited. The Blue Fin Chippys or Micklegate Fisheries seem a bit better and bigger Chips and for the same meal at Micklegate Fisheries it's about £2 cheaper. The owners are great though and seem very, very nice and the place looks lovely, clean and tidy with a Ukulele to play in the Window :-)
Have had Jenny's a few times now and each time has always been lovely. Food is always delivered hot and quickly and you definitely get your moneys worth! I had my last delivery within 15 minutes of ordering - highly recommend this Fish and Chip shop, definitely one of the best in York!
Eaten here twice now and if my body could take it I’d eat here every day. Me and a friend popped in for the best cod and chips in York. These guys KNOW how to do the best F&C. Perfect batter, big portions, perfect chips (not soggy at all) and all cooked fresh. Lovely staff. Opposite a great pub Rook & Gaskill to boot! I’ve not tasted better in York. You can eat your takeaway inside at their window seats too. Thanks very much Jenny’s!
First time here. was delicious. cod was lovely crispy batter. Curry was lovely alround really tasty fish n chips

I have been eating here for what feels like forever and the food is always so good, the staff are amazing and I can’t fault how great it has stayed over the years! Great quality, fantastic fish. I hope it’s there for many more years!
Delivered a first one which was late and freezing cold but when contacted were very apologetic and sent a replacement which when it got here was red hot! Excellent customer service. Tastes great too and my dog ate the cold fish so I guess everyone wins. Thanks Jenny’s
Nicest fish & chips in york, sit in and eat them at no extra cost, free sauces none of those tear plastic sachets!. Big size potions freshly cooked, highly recommend 😉👍
