Kings Arms - York - Photo album

Very nice bar right on the front of the river. Floods occasionally! Good selection of Sam Smith's beers, friendly staff - typical Sam Smith's pub policy of no phones etc! Great place to visit.
Nice historic pub. It's a Samuel Smith so they only sell Samuel Smith beer. If you like that you're in luck. If not then give it a go. Also because it's a Samuel Smith, mobile phones are banned because they want you to talk to each other. If your want to talk about something that's on your phone, I
A really stunning pub situated right on the side of the river for a great view whilst consuming a ice cold alcoholic beverage. Inside the pub is also very nice and cosy although it is not that big. Staff was friendly and pulled off a nice pint of ale.
This was the meeting place for a ghost tour of York so we had a beer while we waited. Great traditional English pub on the river.
Used to drink here in the 70s and don’t think they have changed the furniture or decor since then! Barman doesn’t say thank you or even recognise your existence. Signs to say you can’t use your phone and yet surprise surprise they let you pay with it? It’s only saving grace is the riverside area.
Absolutely love this place, our go to pub to start every visit to york. Service is quick, the pints are good and the drinks are cheap. You can also sit right along the river too. Interestingly the pub floods often when the river rises, there’s a board inside which dates some of the previous water le
Nice friendly bar with outside seating by the riverside. Great Samuel Smith's beers, try the organic wheat beer. It has a no digital device policy inside, really not a problem, nice to see people chatting instead of gazing at their phones.
Lovely place with views over the river, Great service with very friendly staff. We enjoyed our day there having good conversations over a glass of wine. We will definitely come back there again. Thank you for such a lovely experience. 😘😘😘
Called in to the riverside bar for a light lunch on a Sunday. The beer is Sam Smith's - we sampled the stout and the Old Brewery, both of which were excellent. The pub is a no-mobile, no TV sort of place, so promotes actual human conversation! The beef bun was ok, but the amount of very small saute
Lovely pub, compared to many of the other spots it felt very real and like it actually were a part of York which was absolutely lovely at the end of the evening Great range of beers and really friendly welcoming atmosphere I would definitely recommend!
Nice Sam Smith's Pub - great outdoor area on the river.
