The Lowther - York - Photo album

We went here for lunch during a city break to York. Nice location overlooking the river whilst we ate. We had the sharing platter and halloumi fries which was very tasty and more than enough for the pair of us.
Decent sized pub near the river, with outside seating, friendly staff and waitress service. Indoors it is larger than you think and has a modern looking interior. Prices are around average for the area. A selection of food is available, with a carvery area around the corner of the bar, and the usual
Sat outside by the river. Had to wait a few minutes for a table but it was a nice warm day. Service was prompt and had a few guests visit us in the form of geese. Great place to chill and have a beer.
Though the wine volumes were a bit odd, they were decent, but the fellow customers are so friendly. One woman even pulled me into a dance out of the blue. Will return.
Coffee and cake outside by waterfront very nice.
Went on Saturday night. Nice pub by the river next to where the cruise boats set off from. Good selection of Beers and Ales on tap.
Lovely pub. Was a touch damp out the day we visited though! But despite having to walk over a bridge to get in the door we had a lovely time sat in the window watching the river go by.
The food is good but not terrific. If you are hungry and walk close to the place is a good option near the river.
This place is excellent lovely views lovely food excellent views over the river
Nice enough pub on the river with a decent jukebox.
