Truly exceptional food at incredibly affordable prices.
The restaurant is effectively a real world work experience environment for both the front of house and kitchen college students. So each week the menu changes to reflect what the students have learnt that week. You would never guess that the kitchen staff are students given that the presentation and flavour profiles of the dishes are beyond what you might see in a restaurant charging triple the price.
The 3 course menu normally offers 3 choices for each course and at £15 it's a steal! Bread and petit fours are provided too. Drinks are also very cheap with an extensive wine list.
You'll need to book via phone ahead of time and make sure to double check the opening times/weeks.

We attended Scholars Restaurant this week for the 3 course Christmas menu. We were impressed with the food which was prepared to the highest standard making it absolutely delicious. The table was laid out beautifully and It was easy to forget that we were on college grounds because the students were polite and professional at all times. Definitely worth a visit.
I've eaten in many restaurants including Michelin starred, but scholars is certainly one of the very best. Service was exceptional. Will definitely visit again.

5* as usual. Brilliant food and ever better service. Highly recommend as very good quality of food for a more than reasonable rate that allows the students to perfect and practice their hospitality and cooking skills.
Relaxed atmosphere in a comfortable setting. Open kitchen. Delicious food at what must be less than break even prices. Students all very professional. Thanks guys :-)
