The Lighthouse Fish & Chip Shop

We had a family birthday weekend and we ordered food for 9 people. Mixture of fish and kebab dishes, all members of the party throughly enjoyed the wonderful food. Portion sizes were exceptional. Cod was thick and tasty. Shish kebabs were huge and a struggle to finish. Chips were spot on and again generous portion size. It was a large order and everything was delivered as ordered and it came 10mins earlier than expected. Lighthouse is definitely the best chippy in the area.

Edit: Nothing changed from below other than the chips. They have changed recipe since lockdown and they now have some of the most delicious chips I’ve ever had. The only problem is as the taste has skyrocketed the portions have plummeted. Sometimes they’re just about acceptable but a good few times I’ve had a ridiculously small portion. Me and my eating partner are not big eaters and usually share a small at your average chippy but even when ordering a medium, some nights you get just about enough for one. Less than half the portion size with the previous recipe so they know how good they taste. Would rather they put prices up and done a proper portion. Original review: Good options other than fish with a wide variety. Nice chicken and lamb shish kebabs. Only not a 5 star because every time I’ve ordered the lighthouse special they have either forgotten to include one of the meats or not given me any salad despite it being selected on the website. Still the best chippy around despite this

Not greasy, very fresh and beautifully presented and to top it off they do kid meal boxes my little girl was so happy with her ruler and pencil its the little things! Will never order from any other fish and chip shop again 😁 Thank you.
