Consistently amazing food served at Backyard BBQ! We come here every year when we are on holiday. The portions are massive and the food is really delicious and of high quality. We have tried the ribs, chicken, beef brisket and some of the burgers before and none have disappointed. Very well worth the visit if you like BBQ and smoke house type food.
The restaurant is quite small with only 5 tables (up some steep-ish stairs) so definitely book in advance by calling or sending a message on their website, Matty was quick to respond. They also do a takeaway menu which is fab!
The Backyard Barbeque on Baker Street, Aberystwyth, West Wales is an excellent place to go for a meal with friends and/or family. It has a sort of American atmosphere with a menu that reflects this with dishes like spare ribs and salmon served with salad, sauces and chips or fries and a wide range of drinks. There is a bar for drinks. Vegetarian/vegan options are also available.
The food is of a high standard, with very good customer service and a friendly atmosphere.
Great place, great ambience, food and service. I recommend making a reservation since it isn't that big. The food is great and the prices are too. If anything they're too low.

They don't slack on portion sizes. The food is amazing. If there's 2 of you definitely have the platter for 2, the brisket is to die for

The Backyard BBQ serves up some seriously good food (I can't emphasise this enough) combined with excellent service and decent pricing. For my most recent visit I had the Back Yard Burger and it was simply amazing, just make sure you have a decent appetite as the portion size is ridiculous! The service from one of the female waitresses in particular was exceptional and we're gutted that we didn't get her name so she could get a mention.
There is nothing I can say against this place, except that I hope they get a bigger place soon when word of mouth gets out and their customer base increases! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Only found this from a Google search and saw it had good reviews and figured it was worth a try... Seriously impressed, so I'm adding my 2p to help hidden gem gets the custom it deserves! I'll be back!

The food is amazing. I've been here for two graduation dinners, the service is always excellent. I'd use it more if it wasn't pricey, but it's defiantly worth it for a special occasion meal if you're more into the casual, friendly kind of atmosphere. The owner is lovely and has been there both times I've eaten. I'd recommend 100% booking in advance though, and be prepared for the sitting style of dining. Fantastic wee place.
