We didn’t have food. The lady on the bar, Alice, was amazing. She went above and beyond. She was the only one on the bar on a Saturday with 2 massive rugby games on. She could have freaked out or buckled under the pressure, but she didn’t- she stayed calm and professional! She made an effort to make sure everyone was happy, even though it was tough at times as she was the only bar staff! I was impressed by her, she did the job of 3 people on her own! We were all shocked it was just her in the bar! She was brilliant all night. I hope her boss appreciates how hard she works. Don’t see bar staff like her very much anymore! If I owned a bar, I would hire her tomorrow! She’s a credit to the business!

Good choice of beer and ciders and reasonably priced. Good place to watch any sporting games as there are several tv's in the pub doesn't matter where you sit or stand you can spot one. It also has a reasonably sized area of seating outside. Good place to start your evening if you're heading out in Aberystwyth. Would visit again

Best pub food I have had for a long time,there is a young chef who cooks food fresh and you can tell.We had lasagne,curry and burger while we have been here,the best lasagne he makes it fresh everyday beautiful dish. The curry was excellent not to Spicey but very tasty, I had one of his burgers one of the tastiest and soft burger ever. Portion sizes are large and well worth the money. Drinks not over priced local smooth bitter which was very nice and a half carling £4.75 not bad. Will be going again before I go home.

My Girlfriend and I tried Aberystwyth Whetherspoons after their renovations, but found the place was exactly the same and their menu was awful, so we decided to cross the road and try Lord Beechings Pub. We had attempted to eat out here a few weeks prior but they had stopped serving food early on the Sunday. My Girlfriend and I ordered the starter sharer which was £9.99 (picture included) and was absolutely stunning. The Thai chicken skewers were tender and soft and tasted amazing, the cheesy GB was just lovely, the Cajun onion rings were different, every single bit of it was delicious. She had the Hunters chicken for her main and I had the Steak and Ale pie. I'm not a fan of that kind of pastry (which was crumbly), I prefer flaky pastries, however this was delicious! We also had 2 Desserts, A Jaffa cake sundae which was stunning, and she had fudge cake, which was light and spongy and she enjoyed it. We went for a Sat+Sun deal called 'Wallet Saver' where a main and dessert only cost £9.99. so we had a 3 course meal and 3 Drinks (1 alcoholic and 2 pints of Coke) and it came to just under £35. What a bargain, especially considering the quality of the food. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, as staff were also very friendly, and the Pub also allows DOGGOS. 10/10 REALLY ENJOYED.
