I was part of a group that rented out a room for a couple of hours. This was a great experience. They gave us two teas to try out and they were both delicious. Also we’re given some snacks and desserts such as scones which were also delicious. I am personally not much of a tea drinker but this tea was fantastic and the experience by the staff was incredible. Would recommend trying this place out if you are in the area.

This was a wonderful experience. My sister and I took our mother for Mother’s Day. It was a great and different mother/daughter outing. The food was good. And the tea amazing!

I had heard good things about this interesting place and was excited to try something different and unique with my family and friends. However, my experience left me feeling uncomfortable, embarrassed, and upset. As I was unfamiliar with the restaurant or menu items, I mentioned my daughter’s peanut allergy when the salad was served. The lady acted like I was supposed to know the menu (even though it was never presented to us) and also somewhat lectured me on the safety of peanuts and cross-contamination risk. As a parent of a peanut allergic child, I understand what cross-contamination is (and I truly appreciate the disclaimer) but I felt like she was demeaning in her response to me. This conversation resulted in her making me sign a hand written waiver stating I knew she could not guarantee the food had no trace peanuts. Before she made me sign, she did ask if my daughter would still be eating. I told her she would not eat her own, but I would still sign the waiver because I would let her taste some of my sandwich. She quickly pointed out that if she eats any sandwich, she would be charged for a meal. Anyway, the food and tea were very tasty, but the situation should have been handled much differently. It ended up being $25 per person (tax and gratuity I guess—the hand written post-it receipt did not have a break down) and I’m just in disbelief that this is how she does business. What should have been a quick, private conversation turned into a big ordeal for other patrons to see.

Camella's Remember When is an absolute must to do in Abingdon, VA! The iced lavender tea is something really special!

The lavender tea is excellent, it was my first time trying it and I highly recommend stopping in and trying some! I can't wait to go back and have hot tea and sandwiches in the beautiful tea pots and cups. The lady that runs the place is so lovely, the kind of person that puts a smile on your face. She is the definition of southern hospitality, she was just so friendly and kind, I wish more people were like this.

All The way from Pennsylvania to have tea with my friend Mary. The service was so personal! The proprietor even took the time to sit with us and have a cup of tea of her own. She shared the history of the home and the area. The food was beautifully presented and delicious I will definitely be back!!

Today was my second time coming to this establishment. The food is excellent but because of the owners decorum she makes ppl feel uncomfortable and on edge. I brought (3) friends and one of my guests has a peanut allergy. Well my guests mother asked to see if peanuts were going to be served (yes we are aware that most foods could be processed around peanuts). The owner became passive aggressive with us because we did not notify her of the allergy at booking, we proceeded to just ask what was being served that day - no menu is available, look at the site. It ended by my friend having to sign a hand written release stating that her foods could have trace nuts. Now I know that this will not change someone that is her age but I do want you to know that you will pay $25 a person to be ill at ease.
