Really excellent service. We came here for Sunday lunch. Just after the food arrived, our small baby got grumpy, and I took him to a sofa to calm him down and feed him, leaving my food untouched. Our waitress noticed this immediately, took my food off to keep warm on a hot plate, and brought it back hot as soon as the baby went to sleep. This wasn't the only example, the staff were thoughtful at every point (taking us a different way around the pub that was easier for the pram, checking regularly whether we needed anything, warning us about a busy road when we left). The food was good (including a very good children's menu), the beer was nice, the atmosphere is pleasant. But it was really the genuine thoughtfulness of the staff that made this a 5-star lunch.

Enjoyed a delicious impromptu meal here for Sunday lunch. High standard of food; accomplished chef obviously behind the menu, pub prices, warm and welcoming ambiance. We are tourists boating on The Thames. SO happy we moored here and discovered this village’s gem. Modern though from 1352! Incredible to me, coming from Australia. Thank you 🇬🇧

Dropped in without a booking, no trouble in offering us a table. The staff were very pleasant & our orders were taken efficiently. The food was lovely, we decided to have our coffees outside, again there was no issue with this. Outside has a pleasant seating areas with different seat number options to save moving chairs & tables around. Lovely pub, with a great atmosphere, and the staff were helpful & friendly. Just be aware card only, no cash taken but if you are in a pub miles from anywhere that's not a bad thing!

Sunday Roast, Roast Rib of beef. Roast potatoes veg and stuffing. Cooked perfectly, gravy slightly to salty for me personally.

Pub is in a lovely country setting by the Thames. Ate in the garden as it was sunny and warm and we had a dog with us. Nice pub garden. Food was great. The steak & ale pie was a proper full cased one - delicious, not a small dish with a bit of pastry set on top.

Lovely restaurant out in the countryside. Service was good and so was food, especially being a Greeneking and had a good about of discount off for a family of six. Food cooked to perfection even though they were short staffed in the kitchen. Only downside I found being a disabled person that there wasn’t a wheelchair access & car park is easy to miss as it’s on the opposite side of the road the pub itself. I would certainly visit again now I know where it is. Would recommend.

Beautiful thatched Pub/restaurant set in the Oxfordshire countryside approximately 8miles from the city centre We sat outside in the garden which could do with a little more comfort and updating of the furniture but the food and service was excellent an absolute treat also dog friendly

Just visited this restaurant for the first time, and wow, what a pleasant surprise! I've driven past it countless times without giving it a second thought. Today, I finally decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. The dishes I ordered were absolutely fantastic! Finding a free parking spot right across from the restaurant was a bonus. We started off with refreshing drinks—the Elderflower no-jito and the Passion fruit & orange sparkler. For starters, we indulged in creamy garlic mushrooms, Korean BBQ chicken strips, and a delightful roasted butternut squash and sweet potato soup. Our main course was the Salmon Forentine, and we couldn't resist ending our meal with a heavenly cheesecake. Honestly, I was blown away by the food. We never expected it to be this good! The Korean BBQ chicken was incredibly crispy and delicious. Major kudos to the chef! As we savored our meal, we couldn't help but plan our next visit to try other enticing dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! 🚗 Free Parking

Lovely meal here with the family as a party of 10. Everyone enjoyed their food and we had a wide range between us. The fig and goats cheese tart I had to start was delicious and clearly well thought out. Couldn't improve on it. The ravioli part of my main was very tasty, but the golden beetroot accompaniment to the ravioli didn't work for me. There was too much of it alongside the ravioli and it was very hard. I found it unpalatable, and I love beetroot. My partner had the three meat roast, which came suspiciously drowning in gravy. Much better to serve the gravy on the side and let people choose how much they have.
