Proper pub atmosphere, if you want a bar to have a beer and a drink then you can and the restaurant was very spacious and the decor was very good. Table service for drinks which worked well as we had a great guy serving us who made sure we were topped up with drinks but not pestered every 5 minutes
It was a quiet Monday evening, so the atmosphere wasn't great. We had better food last time. It was warm, not hot, the plates weren't warmed, so the food cooled down quickly, but the service was as friendly & efficient as always.
Super pub with good service and delicious food. My partner had roast beef. And said that it was the best Sunday lunch she had eaten for a long time.
Great food, excellent service. Lovely dog friendly pub. The chicken, leak and ham hock pie was superb. Yummy deserts in a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
Fantastic experience with great food. We were a big group with children, babies and a dog and they were so accommodating including arranging a pre order to reduce wait times on their busiest day. Hosts were great and food was lovely.
A lovely pub, great decoration. An interesting layout. Went for a meal at 6.30pm. The staff are friendly. The starters where a good size. I had a the chicken liver. It was very nice. Rich and flavor a little bit of spice, the sauce was nice too. We both had the cod special. It was perfect in ever
Stopped here for lunch today, it was excellent! Really friendly, knowledgeable staff, lovely well cooked food and beautiful surroundings. Enjoy! Also dog friendly.
The Fleece is our local and we feel so lucky to have it just a 5 minute walk down the road. There's always a warm welcome when we walk in, the fire is always lit in winter and there is a fabulous terrace area at the front for drinks and dining in summer. Emma the general manager has put on some bril
Excellent service and genuinely friendly staff. Great, tasty, good value food. The inside looks nice and had a lovely atmosphere. The Sunday lunches are excellent. Puddings aren't too large.
The Fleece Inn made us feel so welcome after other nearby restaurants refused to serve us. The food was delicious! The decor was adorable. Dessert was scrumptious. It checks all the boxes and more! Highly recommend!
Lovely pub. Good food. Quite on the high end price wise. But friendly service and nice meals.
A very nice country village pub dating from 1600's. Plenty of outside seating and a great full english breakfast and coffee. Very pleasant staff, would certainly go back again.
Great pub for after a long walk! They and a muddy side and a posh side! Lol (so you don't feel bad If you Wana go in with muddy boots) lovely log fire to sit next to! They have a lovely restaurant side and what looks like an amazing function room. Food and service was good.
Great gastropub, excellent local ale and fantastic special menu. Been before will go again. Mums favourite!
ace pub with some of the nicest staff ever. my friend had a bad fall on the moors and the manager and staff at the fleece couldn’t have be more helpful and accommodating to us. i didn’t get the managers name but who ever was working on today (saturday 24th feb) deserves a pay rise. thank you so mu
Super atmosphere. Very welcoming and had a lovely real fire. Dog area in restaurant as well as bar. Fish and chips great, the tarter sauce was delicious. Chicken and ham pie very good. Longish wait for dessert that was overheated simple tart, hence drop in stars.
It was obviously a busy Sunday lunch and all the staff were helpful and polite with the exception of what I presume was the front of house manager. She seemed to have a lot on her plate but seemed to be struggling to cope and made it significantly more difficult for our party of 7 to move our table
