The Dining Room

Our first visit to The Dining Room and it was an excellent experience! A friendly, relaxing and professionally run restaurant, that made you feel right at home. Chatting to the great staff including the manageress and chef compliments the visit, personalising your every need. The meal itself was beautifully presented, very tasty and great value for money. I highly recommend The Dining Room, one of THE best restaurants in Lanarkshire, for sure. Will definitely be back!

You really can't knock it. Service was relaxed, friendly and efficient. It's not some fancy Dan place, but I don't think you'd expect or want that in this location. The staff were all friendly and professional. The food was so fresh and well made. I think you can tell it's a chef who cares that people enjoy their food. The menu is as expected for the area... check it out yourself. I had spicy chicken wings, which were nicely presented and cooked perfectly... crunchy on the outside with a beautiful sauce drizzled in the top. And I enjoyed the salad underneath cos It got some of the hot sauce and chicken juices which acted like a nice dressing. A nice touch was staff offering the sauce on the side because it was "quite spicy". I then had the chicken milanese/carbonara. This came with penne and was pretty tasty. I would possibly say that the sauce could have been a little tastier... but to be honest that might have been just my taste... I like strong flavours. However, it was very fresh and well cooked and presented. One of the other big plus points was the price too. There were 4 of us. 2 were drinking alcohol. We all had 2 courses and one of us had 3 and we were around the £90 mark which I thought was pretty awesome considering the current climate. Thanks a lot for all the obvious effort you've gone to, we will be back.

Our first visit to this establishment and delighted . The food was excellent .I had haggis parcel, fish and chips and then caramel shortcake yum yum. The staff are very friendly and nothing was a problem. The restaurant was spacious didn't have tables all around you but steady flow of customers. We will return and try something else on the menu.
