Admittedly, it was a long time ago since I visited this restaurant, probably circa 2001. All I remember was eating the best steak I've ever had in my life! Their fish pie is legendary. Off the menu in the summer, but we begged and then booked it for a week or so later. Worth the wait. But all the other portions looked very generous. And very relaxed and friendly.
Excellent off-license, garden centre, restaurant combo (this is Alderney after all). I sampled the former two where I was met with friendly, helpful staff - the restaurant I sampled some years ago whilst under different hands so this review (3 June 2019) oes not reflect this part. My daughter in law is dairy and gluten free and couldn't eat the cakes but the lady who served us was determined to find something to suit her so she didn't have to watch us eat. The cake was delicious and so was Dawn's prawn and smoked salmon salad.
What a lovely place. Friendly staff and very good value for money...and before you ask.. No I'm not from Alderney, I'm from Bournemouth. This one of the best places to visit for lunch, on the Island, trust me.
Great food, very pleasant outdoor dining. Although full restaurant swift drinks service and food served. Scampi and chips yummy. Worth a visit 🙂
Very conveniently situated be Longis Bay. Seems to be nothing else at that end of the island. Had a pleasant break and cuppa. Our host was very helpful.
Lovely bar in beautiful setting. Owners friendly and welcoming, serving great food at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit when you're on Alderney.
