We stayed on Friday night for one night at The Kildrummy Inn. On arrival we were welcomed by the very friendly owner Nigel and shown to our room. When you walk into Kildrummy the warmth of the place is really apparent. Cozy welcoming sofas around a wood burning fire in a room filled with knick knacks and antiques - its so quaint and pretty. Our room was perfectly appointed - comfy bed, a tray of tea, coffee and water with some caramel wafers! Yum. Bathroom was modern and big fluffy bath sheets were supplied - much appreciated! Our room was situated to the front of the inn overlooking the pretty surrounding countryside. Once we had settled in we headed down for a prosecco and a sit in the lounge. We opted to dine in and were given menus to peruse when enjoying our drinks. The food was absolutely out of this world - outstanding. We had a very comfortable night sleep - being an old building its inevitable that you will hear creeks and other guests moving about but this just added to the ambience of the place and was not an issue in the slightest. Breakfast was an absolutely treat - welcomed with toast, pastries and tea, followed by porridge oats with cream (a must try if you've not) then followed by a delicious full cooked breakfast which included some Stornoway black pudding! It was the breakfast of kings! Thank you so much to the owners and staff at Kildrummy inn, you made our stay truly memorable and wonderful. We will definitely be back in the new year!
Cannot recommend highly enough. Fabulous Sunday lunch, the best I've had in years. 8 of us dining, including 4 children and every plate empty! Aside from the delicious food and very comfortable surroundings the service was second to none. My youngest is fussy, however the chef adapted the fish dish to suit her, she then said it was the best fish she'd eaten! Well worth the short drive and we will definitely be back again.
