Lovely staff and brilliant food. The Steak Pie was so good. The staff even brought me extra gravy without me asking!
If you’re in the village, well worth a visit
Called on for a coffee and Toasted Teacake which was delicious Really efficient and friendly service so much so that we returned for Lunch .Had a Steak Pie with Mashed Potatoes and Carrots/Peas and a Lasagne with Coleslaw and Salad . We both enjoyed them The Steak pie did not skimp on the Steak and there was a generous amount of the rest .The Lasagne was the best I have tasted in a long while and the salad- for me was just the right amount with a nice dressing on it . The cafe seats about 22 persons .
If we visit Alnwick again we will definitely be back.
What a wonderful meal. We had steak pie with chips. It was such a generous serving we could have shared! The steak was tender. The crust was thick. It’s a very small establishment but well worth a visit
Lovely little place serving good homemade food. Hubby loves the pies, just like how our Mums made them. The ladies who work there are lovely, always smiling and cheerful. Pleasant atmosphere.

Relaxing and pleasant after a walk round Alnwick, and situated just across from the Market Square.
Not "flashy" but spotless and fantastic value.

Ordered a jacket potato with cheese/beans to go- a difficult proposition to get right for takeaway.
The packaging was appropriate.
The potato itself was nicely done with the right amount of filling, a mix of cheeses if I recall. There was an accompanying coleslaw and lovely salad. I enjoyed it all and was delighted at the ease of eating it on the go- an impressive return for the price.
This did come as a surprise following parts of the service...decent JP though!
Cosy little place the food is mainly homemade and tasty. Prices are very reasonable . I had toasted sandwiches which were tasty and nicely served with a side salad and crisps. Good choice of foods on the menu hot and cold .....however, they do not take cards and there are no customer toilets
