El Mezcal

I enjoy the drinks here and most of the food, however me and my friend visited today and even though he only took a couple of bites before he felt grossed out by the food he couldn’t exchange his food for a drink, only more food but he was already done with eating, so they are making him pay for his entire meal that he barely touched. You can call this lack of consideration on the customers behalf but this is a restaurant business and the customer should always be right especially when they tip well. The tip would of covered any losses but now they get 0 tip and a bad review. I hope you guys can improve your customer service so the restaurant becomes as good as it could be… but I guess they need to fix the lights outside before they can even begin working on better employees. Thanks for lunch….

We love El Mezcal! ❤️ Absolutely the best and most authentic Mexican restaurant east of STL! We were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff from the moment we entered the building. They quickly got us seated and served our chips and drinks. They kept our glasses and chip/salsa filled. Our food was cooked to perfection, hot, and brought out in a timely manner. Huge portions! We stayed a while to chat and no one rushed us out the door. Very inviting and family oriented atmosphere. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. We will certainly return and bring friends! Highly recommend El Mezcal! Good food and wonderful hosts! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was hot, fresh, and fast. Kids liked it also. We flew in hour before closed. Not knowing what to expect 8:00 at night. Wait staff was very friendly. Kid friendly. Large menu, didn't realize the fajitas burrito was only meat. Waitress didn't hesitate to asked if I wanted some grilled up. Fine place to grab a bit. Will return

I don’t know why I keep giving this place a try, i guess I’m hoping it was just an off day when we go thinking it would be better next time.. nope! Their customer service is absolutely horrible. Not friendly what so ever. Esp the bigger guy that wears glasses and it seems we get stuck with him every time. Just so rude and makes it seem like we are such an inconvenience. Doesn’t check on you or offer refills of anything and if you ask he will seem annoyed. Fried tacos always come out burnt and disgusting. Other food we order turns out ok, but not worth the price. Which by the way is way over priced. We will no longer be coming here and driving to mr panchos from now on! Oh and the margaritas are worthless, hardly any alcohol in them, if any at all for that matter. Don’t waste your money here!
