Baraset Barn

I took my wife and some friends here last night for my wife’s 60th birthday party. I cannot praise the staff enough for their service. Maggie, as usual excelled in directing the younger staff who were amazingly attentive. The food was absolutely first class. Nothing was too much trouble for the whole evening. We are regulars anyway, but I just want to say Thanks guys, we will be back very soon. 100% great service and also 100% value for money.

Stayed here before and hope to stay again in the future. Best shower and biggest bed I've seen in a hotel. Staff are really welcoming and friendly/helpful. lovely and quiet, very relaxing. The only small negative is no swimming pool .

This is a great hotel to stay when visiting Stratford on Avon as it is only a 5 minute drive into the town. The hotel bedrooms are modern and clean. The location is quiet with countryside views. Restaurant menu was very good and I particularly enjoyed the Vegan breakfast. We would stay there again.

Fabulous rooms, great restaurant, great environment with great staff. Our group of eight were on a cycling holiday staying in nice hotels, this was by far the best. Could not fault so 5 stars seems inadequate. Even Mark mislaying my car keys did not cause much of an issue!

Stayed here one night on my own for a business trip. I had entered my company’s credit card details when making the booking, but payment was not taken from this. Instead, it had to be done separately at check-in. This isn’t unusual, but when I asked to pay by giving the details of a card I didn’t physically have with me - as I have done in many hotels without issue - the girl on reception said she would have to get her manager. After a short wait, the manager came out and rather gruffly asked me what the problem was. I said there was no problem, just that I wanted to pay with a card I didn’t have on me. Even though it was the same card the booking had been made with, the manager said no as it “sounded a bit suspicious” from his perspective. Now, if he had said “I’m afraid that’s against our policy, sir” I wouldn’t have been offended, but the way he put it came across as rude to me. Fortuitously, when I went to pay with the personal credit card I had on me, the card machine didn’t work - so he ended up taking the payment from the details of the card I wanted, which is exactly what I was asking for in the first place! I had dinner in the restaurant. The food itself was good, but the service was fairly slow. It was busy, but it was very hard to get anyone’s attention. There was even about a 10-minute wait between being brought the bill and the card machine, plus I had to point out that two additional main courses had been mistakenly added. The breakfast service was far more efficient, and again the food was excellent. The room was large and well furnished, with nice views. My only criticism would be the TV, which could only manage basic analogue channels. Most places have Netflix, Prime etc built into their TVs now. Overall, a perfectly good place to spend the night - good quality rooms and food. The service perhaps needs a bit of work, though
