Great little Italian restaurant with honest food and friendly (albeit a little slow) service. Portions are huge so you won't go hungry. Also excellent for gluten free including pasta and pizza.

Early bird special is a good deal, three courses. We can't even finish two courses. Garlic bread is a must, the tomato soup is the most authentic we've had, really fresh and spicy. The Alfredo is a tad salty for me but that's just me used to low salt. And really friendly service. Good value even if without the early bird special. Plus nice seating.

Not visited La Familia before and was quite hungry. Booked last minute but they squeezed us in. I had a Calzone pizza and have to say it's the best Calzone pizza I've ever eaten. It was so tasty and a good portion size. 2 of our group had neat feast pizzas which also looked awesome. I also had a small bowl of chips. I will certainly go back. Staff were very friendly and welcoming too.

Nice Italian restaurant on the main shopping street in Amble, Northumberland. We were just going to go for a meal at a local pub but our pub of choice had stopped serving for the evening so we decided on La famiglier. We had a very nice meal served by a friendly Italian lady who seemed to be doing everything at front of house, serving food, drinks and clearing tables etc. She was very busy to say the least but all done with good humour. Nice food at a reasonable price. We would go again.

Lovely food and staff but waiting staff have always been rushed off their feet when we've visited. Find yourself having to catch their eye to order drinks, etc rather than them coming to you. Extra waiting staff would make it a must-visit.

Called here for the early bird special on a trip to Amble. The food was fantastic as was the service & prices & the restaurant was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be calling again in the future
