Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing building... Made my anniversary /birthday meal one to remember. WILL DEFINITELY BE COMEING BACK 😍 definitely recommend the fish platter 👍🏻😋 also love that there's no kids after 5. (under 8 I think it is) great atmosphere and don't have to put up with other people
Brilliant again! I have reviewed this restaurant favourably in the past and do so again here. They have trialled a tapas style menu recently but they are now back to the previous menu offering a good choice of starters and mains. Whilst I love it here and stayed loyal, I do prefer this menu rather t
A wonderful building to enjoy a good meal. We opted for the sharing tapas style selections and really enjoyed the "tempura chicken with teriyaki noodles", returned a few days later for more of the same. Great service from very friendly staff.
Great burgers, and amazing coffee. Nice little outdoor seating area that's set back off the main road, so relatively quiet compared to other places in Ambleside. Definitely worth a visit.
Fantastic restaurant, very attentive staff, food was amazing
Great food, reasonable price. Friendly staff.
Cozy. well attentive staff. starter duck followed by sea bass definitely go back
Dropped in late but were accommodated for a table of four. Good service of great food. Attentive but not intrusive staff and a very good atmosphere. Been walking past this place for years now. Such a shame we've missed out on this quality restaurant. Thoroughly recommended.

Have been past many times over the years but never gone in until this week. Food was delicious and would definitely recommend. We loved it so much we went 3 nights on the run. We had lamb shank, sea bass, fish pie and chicken stroganoff. All were lovely and well presented. The highlight though was t
This was the last evening of our 12 night stay in the Lake District. This was perfect in every way. The food was cooked and presented perfectly, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. First Class hope to return on another visit. The Sea Bass is highly recommended.
Great place to eat, food excellent, staff very attentive and polite. Highly recommended
Lovely quiet venue, in an ideal setting within Ambleside. When we visited, it was clearly not a busy tourist season, as we found a lovely spot right by the fireplace inside to warm ourselves up, and dry out our socks! ;-) We've been past here many times throughout varies seasons and it's been very
Really nice meal at the place. Nice starter, excellent beef stroganoff, and lovely ice cream and sorbet for a desert ...plus a nice glass of Elysium to finish up with to call of the meal. Staff really friendly and the historic grade 2 building was really good
Best rhubarb gin and tonic I've ever had. After a long walk, we stopped here just for a drink, and were pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was inside, especially the floor having glass so you can see the workings of the water mill. Staff very friendly. When I started to drink my gin, it was like
Was looking for a place to eat this evening and not wanting burgers n chips or lasagne. Gave the Fulling Mill a call on the off chance hoping that they may allow pets, and they do in the bar area, which is lovely anyway. It was like labrador central with fantastic owners. Was so impressed with the l
