Don’t normally go into Costa in Ambleside, but I really enjoyed my visit today. Sat in the window seats which are bright and spacious.
The manager was enthusiastic, happy, polite and very welcoming. In fact the manager made my visit as pleasant as any of the many quality tea rooms in the town.

This Costa has a staffing shortage we arrived yesterday to find it was shut due to this. However on previous occasions there has just been one person doing everything, despite this we have always found them to be efficient, friendly and welcoming. They guy serving wasn’t English, he may have been Spanish, but he was absolutely fantastic. He was brilliant with all the customers and my hot drink was actually hot but drinkable. He also tried upselling in a really natural way. What a superstar. These days Baristas are so terrified of all the red

Visited here several times on holiday to be served by the wonderful Lauren each time who was exceptionally friendly, helpful and really lifted our mood after full days sightseeing tired and wet.

Always visit this Costa Coffee when in Ambleside and always get a warm welcome from Alex or Lauren who are the regular staff who have time for a chat and always make a great cup of coffee.
When we are on holiday in the Lakes we visit several times, try to keep us away we need our coffee fix.

She had a smile on her face the whole time whilst serving a long line of people.
Excellent customer service - she should get a bonus for working alone on such a busy day.

The 2 guys serving today was excellent and couldn't be more helpful. Coffee and tea was on point and it was all very clean.
Friendly staff and quick service, though one of the staff spent a lot of time on her phone rather than doing anything productive. The coffee was decent, perhaps a little weak but the experience was good overall.
Called in today for a quick coffee and was served by a very friendly and helpful young man (can’t remember his name unfortunately). Several people in so a warm atmosphere but could actually hear a conversation too as it wasn’t too loud.
Came in for a quick lunch date, good selection of food and drinks. Had to wait a little bit for our bacon roll to be heat up, but only because there were a few people before us.
