The STAFF make this place. They always seem laid back and smiley! The food and coffee are fabulous and the decor casual / industrial / arty. A chilled out place with lots of mismatched relaxing furniture you can hang out and chat with some nice background music.

Without any exaggeration these guys are absolute coffee geeks, making Harris and Hoole by far "THE BEST" coffee on the UK High Street. Every time I visit my parents, I come here every day, usually in the morning. Their Lattes are smooth, velvety and have a slight nutty taste. This business, in all seriousness have set the bar so high as far as coffee goes that I can no longer drink the burnt tasting stuff that their competitors offer. Oh, and their sausage rolls are absolutely amazing (they have a hint of rosemary). I also love the Rocky Road cake too. Everything here is fantastic along with the customer service.

Sam is the best thing about this place - he’s always friendly, but also always funny as well! He makes an effort every time we see him to be welcoming, and that makes a huge difference. The coffee is great too, and the pastries are the best around. Throw in the comfy seats and you’ve got the perfect coffee shop!
was met by a really kind barista today who offered me a cold drink of water and an iced coffee when i entered the shop in tears. he was really patient and friendly, told me to sit down and brought over the drink to me. i immediately felt at ease: a small gesture like that goes such a long way - i can’t thank both baristas enough for their kindness
I live locally and I’ve been coming to Harris & Hoole regularly for about a year and a half - it’s now my favourite place for coffee and pastries on the high street! Noticed a really impressive improvement in service, staff, hours, and food lately - special shout out to Sam for being so friendly and attentive! Huge thanks to the team for working so hard!
A great place to chill with a carefully-crafted coffee in a very informal, relaxed atmosphere. DOG FRIENDLY! They LOVE having your furries come along, and will probably make a fuss of the pup (pro tip: ask for a puppachino) and have a chat with you about your fur-baby.
Good food, too! I especially recommend the breakfast wrap.
Great coffee and a great community. Every outlet I went to had the best coffee in town and the coolest location. It’s hard to find one that is not housed inside a supermarket these days, as those tend to have a lot of surrounding noise, but at least you still have really great coffee where you shop!

But .... it’s the Ham & Cheddar Toastie that secured the solid 5🌟 rating ... the subtle hint of mustard elevating it to sublime deliciousness!
Delicious coffee and food, beautiful cafe and atmosphere, pleasant staff. Definitely coming here whenever I'm in the area.
